Coastal Carolina's Offense

Call me crazy, but I was looking at a few of the Coastal Carolina highlight videos, and their offense looks a lot like Pflugrad’s offense scheme? I noticed they do that QB option pass to the wide out too. That big back they have often has a gaping hole up the middle. Their interior line must be good.

I think our defense is going to have an advantage like we did against Weber. We’ve seen this offense before and had to practice against it.

Forgive me if I am wrong here, I didn’t play offense in Highschool. _

The fact CC is above average to very good at both aspects of the offense makes this game very tough. A lot of references this week to the '09 SFA game, but if I remember right they were an excellent passing team, but when that part of the offense failed, they were toast. Take away one part of the CC offense, they will go to the other.

Our offense needs to match their offense blow for blow. We are capable of winning a shootout, but the offense needs to put together long, steady drives so our offense doesnt get worn out. A sloppy defense will not win on Saturday.

From watching a couple of their games, their offensive is very diverse, seems like they are very well coached and disciplined. I have a feeling it will be a tough game. One game they run all over the defense, the next they passed at will.

The dismissive posts about anticipating a blow out are the usual fan smack talk. These guys have a good team. A balanced offense is certainly their strength. This should be a challenge but our defense can handle them. The much discussed 'weather' issue will impact both offenses and likely keep the score down. Hope our guys get off to a quick start, and add to their positive turnover margin! Go Griz! :ugeek:

This CC team is going to practice with "cold balls" all week. Don't kid yourselves on how well they will be prepared. It works !! har har har

You don't have the record that they do unless you are a quality team, no matter what conference you are from. They are balanced and will be a good test for the Griz! The cold balls was funny , but the most difficult thing is the cold hands....hands are cold hard to grip the ball and hold on to it. Hope the chicken soup at the half helps them out! Seriously, Coastal will be a solid opponent

Their QB looks like the real deal. Another shoota/Sac St Qb type of player.

If our D is truly gelling like it seems to have been the last few games, we could be really quite tough to deal with though... even for shoota.
