That is Chavez points, rebounds to minutes so far this year, minus the Scrimmage and Utah Valley State. That is great production. Let's see what he can do with 20 plus minutes. He should average 13.5 pts, and 6.5 boards in 20 minutes. Those are all conference numbers. He also shot over 40% from 3 last year.

What is going on in behind the scenes? What is keeping him off the court?

I was curious how productive he has been based on many egrizzers thinking he should play more. As it turns out, indeed he has been very productive and I feel deserves to be on the court more. How much of a difference would he make?

The knock on Chavez has been his lack of playing defense. But, from what I saw on TV last night, he would have plenty of company out there. At least he can score, which is badly needed on this team. He should be starting.

Well tonight's VA TECH game should be telling of team character. WVA looked even better against W MI. After rewatching the WVA game, the majority of missed shots were not bad shots or forced shots, just a matter of shots not falling. Matt Martin's shots were at the end of of the shot clock running down. He had to shoot when he did for the most part.

As for my statement earlier about regarding my fan suppor the last 3 years, it is true. I was away from the area for a long period of time. When I got back, Kennedy was the coach. I tried my best to support him, but after 1/2 season, just did not like the way the team played. Also, my friends and myself had bad experiences dealing with Kennedy, and were treated very badly. Since LK taking over, I have not missed a game at home. I have also gone to many away games.

The player's and coaching staff have been very kind to myself, relatives, and friends. They have all earned my respect on and off the court. With that said, I believe Tinks and the team will get things on track.

the uniforms are really cool....the coaches family is very attractive...the kids look intelligent...the guys are working hard..the refs are unfair to montana ,,the Florida air is killing us,,the tourney field is way over our head,,,the coaches seem intense....is this the kinda crap you want posted? As fans we want to discuss the team,,the rotation,,the effort,,,the match-ups...the shot selection...the starters..the defense..and just the team....that does not mean any comments are meant to be negative about the coaches personally ,,,the players or the whole entire team....we who seem critical are also fans...some of us just expect better...my own expectations were way out of wack ...I expected more...as an out of stater...I read about new players and thought this team would really do some damage...they still may in the BSC...I fully expect it but I am warning you ...the BSC has some very good ballclubs,,Idaho St taking Maryland to ot,,,NAU beating ASU..PSU playing hard ..EWU is beating UW as I write....please folks accept some unhappy comments...the team has just not played well...that in no way means those of us who are critical are not fans in fact ususally fans that have comments positive and negative are the most passionate ones....

It's no different than football, Rainman. If you try to talk intelligently about what is really happening on the BB court, you will be labled a negative person and a bad fan. There are a paucity of backbones on this board while discussing the real world, without the maroon-colored glasses.

The problem is that some posters seem to believe "negative" comments are "intelligent" comments. Some posters think that silly or baseless comments are intelligent. For example, there is a poster who thinks he can discern the intensity and ability of our coach by looking at our coach's face during a handful of brief camera shots on television. He thinks that's intelligent.

There is another poster who thinks he can explain away every negative thing which occurs in Grizzly athletics, by whining about a plethora of things, as he constantly reminds us of how many players, parents, and coaches he bumps gonads with on a daily basis.

Heaven forbid somebody other then a sportswriter question a coach.
