I am not a big fan of discussing other peoples money, but I think that this is pretty important.
Over at ASeaofRed (Liberty Flames Forum) they have compiled a list of FCS coaching salaries for the 2014-15 year.

Richmond - $437,672
Northern Iowa - $350,000
Villanova - $304,642
James Madison - $300,000
Illinois State - $300,000
North Carolina A&T - $285,000
Samford - $274,665
North Dakota State - $261,177
Sam Houston State - $250,000
Youngstown State - $213,894
Cal Poly - $205,200
New Hampshire - $200,000
South Dakota State - $190,000
Jacksonville State - $181,000
Eastern Washington - $212,717
Coastal Carolina - $175,000
Montana - $175,000
The Citadel - $175,000
Chattanooga - $150,000
North Dakota - $150,000
Charleston Southern - $120,542

Not an extensive list, but the trend should be clear: You see any consistent top 10 programs paying less than $200,000?
I write all of this based on Haslam's comments according to Amie Just on Twitter: "You can't have boosters paying the salaries of head coaches.... The salary here has done pretty well over the years."

I remember a discussion on this forum about Royce Engstrom a few years back and a poster said "You get what you pay for," and that certainly applies to the future head coach of the Montana Grizzlies.

...and Idaho's blows the FCS and Big Sky average salary out of the water @ $446,214.40

Well, we will see what that looks like next year.

My guess is that by season's end it will look like about $75,000 per win. :ugeek:
