Looking at the current staff. How would you rate them going forward?

Offense:
Pease/rosey/germer: I feel like this is the first year in a while that our coaches actually made adjustments throughout the season, one thing I don’t like is the old-school mentality of, It’s like novicane, just give it time and it will work. We need some young blood on the offensive side, to be more dynamic and compete with the top teams.
Phen/erickson: solid, steady, yes men. No issues here that I can see.
Green: Best on this side of the ball. Protect this man at all costs

Defense:
Bradford: as much as I love, Coach Baer, Ronnie Bradford is the best coach we have on staff. This defense played above their pay grade, and he deserves a lot of credit. We are lucky to have him on staff
Cooper/McLeoud:
Coop is a great get for us, players coach and legit good dude. McLeoud is a talented dude that got a lot out of this years CB class.
Linehan: Yet to be seen. Our DL was carried by Gub and supplemented by some good transfers. Yet we aren’t close to the D line we need to truly compete for championships.
Tim Hauck. Nuff said.

Who knows what changes may occur. I for one think Hauck leaves after Feb 20. Here’s hoping Bradford gets the nod and brings in a dynamic offensive mind. Just my 2 cents, go griz and let’s bring it home next year!

I don't understand why Hauck would leave. He left before. He was fired by UNLV... UNLV :? he went to San Diego State and did an okay job there. He got the opportunity to come back to Montana and rebuild the program. He was successful, but that success was directly due to his coaching staff.

I appreciate Coach Hauck now, not because he is an EPIC head coach (the man is a special teams jedi master), but due to his ability to recognize and recruit talented coaches and players.

Where is he going to go? Really? Had the Griz won the NC, I could see him possibly leaving. I don't see him going though, and I don't see Seth Bodnar letting him go, or the big money program boosters.

Maybe it's just me, but did no one listen when he said they are going to build the next dynasty? I heard that. not on some stupid twitter feed or in this forum. I don't think Coach Hauck is going anywhere.

I'm not sure I would classify the D as having "played above their paygrade". I think Ronnie removed some of the frenetic aspects from the defensive approach, had them disciplined but unpredictable, and each played their 1/11th. If Baer had done that last year we'd have seen much better results, IMHO.

Honestly I think that everyone but the offensive coaching staff get an A for the year, while the offense gets a B. As good of a year as this was (that defensive unit was without doubt championship caliber) our offense needs to improve to take a step closer to a Natty. The defense good enough, but we needed a more explosive offense. Maybe I’m being unfair though, and maybe the playcalling was fineand it’s just the players that need some help at certain positions on offense. I do think that moving forward it’s the offense that needs to make strides. If the defense can just be about as productive as it was this year we will be a title contending team again next season
