Coaches Poll

GRIZ #2.
Not sure what they see in Stephen F. Austin, only dropping them two spots. SFA got absolutely creamed by Jacksonville State and barely managed a win against Alcorn.

The coaches put more distance in points between Montana and South Dak State and more distance between Montana and MSU.

You have to think the coaches view an Iowa loss, in which SDSU gave up two safeties and managed 120 yards, differently than the fanboys in the press.

I think the poll reflects that there are about 5 teams that have an actual shot of making it to Frisco, and much like the FBS poll, they will keep the bigs up top. After watching a lot of football Saturday, and all the FCS I could, there is no doubt nobody out of the top 7 will be in Texas. People talk about the drop off from upper level FBS to lower FBS...Alabama/Utah St, Michigan/Colorado State...but it is painfully obvious it is the same in FCS.

Worse, I’d argue.

Actually I would absolutely agree.

At this point in the season - 3 teams, maybe four. Sac State folds like a chair - year in and year out. I watched the MSU game. Not being an ass here, but they have major holes on defense. Against a decent team they will get torched. Their offense is also suspect, although their OC showed some creativity. I believe NDSU and SDSU are clearly 1 and 2. UM is third and I have no idea on Villanova. Injuries will sway things and historically the Griz get stronger as the season progresses. O line and kicker are the questions marks for the Griz. Clean those up and look out. Possibly MSU does the same as the season progresses.

I watched a fair amount of the Scat game and they were not impressive in any aspect. They were decent at home against what looked like a below average McNeese State.

Griz had an awesome D performance and LJ is the real deal. With all his weapons our offense will score on anyone that doesn't have a D as good as ours. I predict there are 3-4 legit Frisco teams with the Griz, NDSU and SDSU being 3 of them. And I am totally unbiased in my opinion.

At this point I think there’s five. I’d say you’d have to include nova and msu. But if I were a betting man — and I am — I’d bet the ranch on NDSU/SDSU/UM vs the field.

lol..... so the griz crush a high school team and now it's all smooth sailing to Frisco. How many years is this fan base going to continue to overblow expectations only to be disappointed when you get beat in the playoffs?

Good luck against the Coyotes. You should beat them but you're not going to crush them like whatever team you played last. :thumb:

I understand you’re a fucking imbecile, so I’ll type slllloooooowwwwwllyyyyy. The “high school” team the GRIZ allowed to get all the way to the plus 47 yard line once in the game Saturday beat Mcneece last year. You know, the team msu looked completely hopeless against for 2 quarter? Oh, and those two teams are picked right next to each other in preseason polling. So I guess you struggled against a HS JV team?

But good luck with the ever tough nonscholie Moorehead nooneknowstheirmascotnames this weekend. 🙄. Me thinks you may need luck.

Meanwhile, we’ll be pounding yet another playoff team.

That whatever high school team that beat McNeese last November.

There is less disparity between top BCS and top FCS teams than top BCS and middle/bottom BCS teams at this point. I suspect the top five FCS teams (traditionally strong over last twenty years minus our few years of being mediocre) in the country could compete with the 20th ish and lower teams of the upper division.

Appears to be a very accurate poll.

No. Iowa lost yet moved higher. Touchdown Tommy tried to run it up the middle but got stuffed.

All is right with the FCS world!

Hopefully UNI continues to worm their way up in the polls and earns a trip to Missoula in December

Sounds like you're talking about the Bobcats. That's your team 99% of the time, if they even make the playoffs. Did you guys forget every other year other than last? Which you guys played cupcakes all the way through the bracket and got absolutely embarrassed by NDSU?
