portland @ eastern could be quite a game this year.

Especially since the Vikings have come close to knocking off EWU the last few years.

2014: L 34-56
2013: L 41-42
2012: L 34-41
2011: W 23-17

22 point margin is "close?"

It was an 8-point game with 6:30 left in the 4th before the wheels fell off. I'd consider that close.

From what I have seen....PSU and EWU are legit playoff teams.....UM and MSU are not....neither has both sides of ball good enough, so poll looks relatively accurate as far as where they are, but maybe lower UM and MSU a few more spots

You mean making the playoffs or having some success in the playoffs? (EWU and PSU) EWU isn't exactly stellar on defense.

I was about to say, if being good on both sides of the ball is the definition of a legit playoff team, then Eastern Washington isn't it. There is nothing GOOD about the Eags defense. It's starting to look like the Big Sky isn't what anyone thought it was. It has a lot of depth and parity, but I don't think it has quality depth.

I am not sure being good on both sides of the ball is necessary for a legit playoff team, but it is definitely true when talking about legit National Championship contender.

Hopefully, by the grace of God, the offensive can get something going this weekend. If not than I agree any playoff hopes vanish. Another loss by msu and they are done as well. Strange to think that the FCS playoffs might not have a Montana school. With that said.........let's win out! :thumb:
