That's like the weirdest and most arbitrary metric I've ever heard of. No team at any level only uses conference record. And the Big Sky is full of Podunk States. That's what the FCS is. And how could you tell how good a team, nationally speaking, is by only going off their conference record. What a moron.
When do you actually start college?

You still recovering from that stroke?

Ok, that was a little too far. I'll admit that and I am sorry. However, you need get it through your head that not everything you do is right. I'll go back to only using conference schedule, as an example. You are literally the only person I have encountered who uses that. And based on the reaction from other people, I'm not the only one who felt like that. And frankly, it makes no sense, because you are excluding games that took place, and are counted by the NCAA towards playoff eligibility and statistics. If you have a problem with that, take it up with Mark Emmert.

Actually, the ncaa uses conference and non-conference stats. Conferences use conference stats. People can use whatever stats they want. If you think wins over Western St and Bryant in the early season are relevant, have at it. Seems like 75 can use what he wants. Did you even play high school football? I predict that you won't graduate from UM.

You characteristically over-react. I didn't say you "couldn't," but for the purposes of year-to-year comparisons it makes for statistical comparisons, so that you aren't comparing EWU vs OSU and MSU vs "Western Oregon," and other random combinations of ad-hoc scheduling. Nothing "wrong" with it, it's just that it doesn't provide longitudinal comparability. Indeed, in a long-term data array, they are classic "data noise" and reduce the useful information. It depends on what you need. My purposes are different than yours. Get back to me in 50 years and tell me how much you know then compared to what you think you know right now.
