I guess it depends on the relationship. My husband would not tolerate that kind of situation for very long. But to each their own...On a related note, I've always been told "distance makes the heart grow fonder".

You don't think they had that conversation before he agreed to the 4 year contract? She might have been down to do long distance for 1-2 years but 4 more now after already having one could be too much
Perhaps -- and admittedly I'm just spit balling here -- perhaps because he's proven what everyone believed prior to the hire and has now earned the contract extension? If you don’t think it was necessary to begin with, then why do an extension now? Everybody knew he was a good recruiter.

I think most people would argue that Hauck brought the bar back to where it is. The program is back to expecting deep playoff runs and championships. Haucks only downfall was that he lost the state recruiting to the cats both on and off the field. Which in all fairness is a pretty major failure.Hauck went 6-5 overall, 4-4 in the Big Sky on his first year after his triumphant return. The bar has been set really really low, but I love BK's attitude and all the work he has put in, I believe this team will do so much better.
Not sure if you are aware of this but they have this thing called the transfer portal now. Pretty big deal in terms of turning over rosters. This is disingenuous. The entire defensive coaching staff, minus one person, doesn't leave unless the team's defense is horseshit and they get canned. Losing the entire defensive staff and having the kids pick up the new defense is likely to lead to more losses.
In addition, all of the players on defense were recruited by BH to play BH's 3-3-5 defense. It will take a couple of years for the Griz to recruit to Sanders defense.
