Coach Kennedy new 4 year contract

As a natural pessimist, I do wonder if part of what's making Kennedy look so good right now is what a contrast he is to Hauck. Clearly Kennedy is doing what he's supposed to in recruiting, but I cannot stress enough how much Hauck wasn't doing. I've heard it first hand from many recruits and their parents, including a couple that are committed to UM in this years class.
You sound nervous now.

Very good and smart move IMO. There are current players and recruits that need to know he will be around for a while. This is big peace of mind for many of them. They love BK and everything I am seeing is solidifying that for me too
Not to mention the assistant coaches are not wondering what their future holds. They are now just beholden to BK and as long as they don’t lay an egg, they have some security and can tell their recruits so. Now it’s more likely that the Cats make a head coaching change before the Griz do.

Ya he does because he’s the President and he now oversees the entire University. That includes Athletics. And you don’t think he hasn’t been doing his homework on UM and the state of Athletics over the last 3 months since he was hired? It doesn’t matter what he knew about Griz Football a year ago. He’s the man now and now he’s responsible for BK. So I hope he had some say in the decision as he will be the President the entire length of BK’s contract now.

And the front porch thing is not a cliche. Kids wanna go to schools that have winning sports programs. Kids aren’t going to Alabama for their academic prowess. It’s been well documented over the years. Every AD in the country would tell you this as well.
None of my kids wanted to go to schools with winning sports programs. None. I know and have known more AD’s than you, and what you said isn’t true. Many kids at UM don’t care much about sports. You are a cliche.

I'm not going to throw anybody under the bus here, but many of you here know them...go ahead and ask them the difference. It's a real thing. Don't care if you believe me or not. Besides, think about it, it's not like I want Kennedy to be doing a better job here!
I don’t believe you. You probably don’t know any. You are all talk and don’t know much about football. I spotted you and that as soon as you started posting.

I know the parents of all of the recruits and the recruits and they say you are wrong. Ha.

“I’m not going to tell you who to ask, but go ask them.”

It was a directive that sounded ridiculously stupid, my friends. Alas, I set out to do just that. Call it morbid curiosity. I guess that’s why my friends call me Whiskers. The first person I asked was a lady at Albertsons. It was on aisle 12. She was tall, slender, late 40s, pale with coal black hairs bobbed short, falling about her nape. She was reaching for diced pimentos and I hot yellow chiles when our eyes met. I sensed a pensiveness in her gander I can only describe as…searching. There was a blatant and unmistakable pain hidden deep behind her eyes. Undaunted and without delay, I blurted out, “How would you contrast Bobby Hauck’s approach to in-state recruiting to that of Bobby Kennedy?!” Gobsmacked by my sudden query, she gave but a wry smile as if to say, ‘Get the fuck away from me, douchebag!’ before hurriedly making her way down the aisle to the assorted condiments, some of which were on sale, doubtless in anticipation of the townsfolk’s Independence Day galas. Knowing she must know something, I gave chase.

After explaining myself to security several times (what is it with people these days?), here I sit. Back to square one. Ashamed? Mildly. Determined? You betcha! I will unearth those with answers and hold them to account if it’s the last thing I do. For I put it to you, my friends, if we are to live in a civilization of questions without answers, what is to separate us from the animals? I posit the answer is nil.

Ironic that you care about winning championships but you defend Hauck to the ends of the earth for winning 0 championships.
Bobby is the best coach UM ever had. He went to the national championship games many times. He won the big sky many times. What coach has ever won the big sky more.

Agreed. Im hearing the only hesitation on some recruits was his 1 year deal... hes had a pretty high level of success on the recruiting trail despite this, now he can cook. Id assume we see several more big commitments in the coming few weeks with this news.

Hes done everything right thus far, obviously gotta prove it on the field now, but limiting him to a one year deal was going to limit his ability to succeed. GO GRIZ
This is the #1 post in this thread. Although I don't always agree with all of Nick's posts he is smarter than most here. Not sure why some of you clowns got to turn a good thread into a shit show?

You don't know all of the parents of all of the recruits. Another lie.
