Clock issue

I think a couple times the clock was started once an official was given the ball rather than when it was set back again for play both when EWU went out of bounds late as well as when the Griz got first downs on the final drive. The Griz radio guys did comment on this a bit during those late drives. Maybe this cost the Griz an extra play at the end, but who knows how proper timekeeping would have affected both teams' timeout and run vs. pass decisionmaking.
Bad job by the officials not to catching on to this "home-cooking" though...

You realize it really didn't make a difference. Both the game clock and play clock start at the same time, so they could run the same amount of time of the clock.

That’s not accurate. The play clock starts immediately at the conclusion of the prior play. The game clock need not be running for the play clock to begin.
