When I saw this for the first time I thought of you. Just substitute social media for football message board.

I have a pretty good idea for a wager, so if you have any integrity (I'm not sure you do), you will take it. It will shut you up for a while, and It doesn't have anything to do with money. You've been running your virtual mouth for a long time, and hubris is evident in just about every post you make. However, I don't think you are probably as big of a prick in real life as you make yourself out to be online.

Will you be in the area over say...the next month or so? No need to go to Greeley, that's not where I live. The bet is friendly, and ends in my buying you a beer or dinner, and meeting my wife and daughter (she's the cutest one-year-old you will ever meet), regardless of the outcome. This story has so many layers beyond the basic facts that a coach broke a clipboard and threw it at an opposing fan. That’s really not that newsworthy by itself.

There's the celebrity family with nepotism angle. Meh.

Assault, blood, police report. Unsuspecting old man hit in the face. Ok.

The “souvenir” coverup angle which is pretty good.

But I’m convinced the reason this story went viral today was because of the exquisite trash talk by a high schooler.

“I said, ‘Hey coach, maybe you should focus on how small your pants are, rather than breaking a clipboard,” the senior told the Tribune in a text message.

Tiny pants is so next level. And take it from someone who loves to run his mouth at the games, I cannot give a bigger tip of my hat.

I know there is one bet I would have certainly lost after reading this thread. That is that a nepotistic chain of events involving what I can only envision is Max's girlfriends yoga pants (or his weekend drag outfit), a kid from Butte America, a broken clipboard, an innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time, an AP write up, an athletic director in awe of his former pro-bowl/superbowl champion head coach and a defensive UNC keyboard warrior would be the the factor that would unify Griz and Cat fans together side-by-side in admonishing the behavior of a perennial bottom dweller that can do nothing but continuously trip on their on d**k. I didn't realize they stacked $hit so high in Greeley that anyone could actually buy the "memorabilia" angle, let alone adamantly defend it on an opposing teams board.
