Great choice! I'm excited to watch him wear 37 for the next three years. I think he's gonna have a break out year this year. Do we think he's gonna be a starter come week 1?

I think the two transfers probably start based on how they brought them in but he will certainly being in the main rotation at the very least. We will have to see how it shakes out during Fall camp.
I have no idea if he starts, but seeing the kid makes him look like he went from boy to man really fast. I didn't go to any practices, but I have a pretty good feeling he's going to show people he can ball. He was such an exciting recruit for us to get.

Wild that he'll be the first 37 to get it with 3 or more years of eligibility left in almost 20 years. Carson Bender was the last one in 2008.

Seriously, Trevyn and Junior, who have been friends forever, left it all on the field, studied hard in the classroom, and represented UM well off the field, and I think Clay will follow in their footsteps !!!
Trevyn graduated from Billings West, Jr. from Billings Senior, and Clay from Billings Central, Billings' private Catholic high school. While Billings is not Denver or Seattle in terms of population, as Montana's biggest city of approximately. 125,000 residents, Yellowstone County with approx. 173,000 folks, and 4 Billings public high schools, including the new Class A Lockwood High School, and Central and a small but growing Billings Christian
, also a private in this case Evangelical Protestant high school that plays Class C, 6 man football which I think will morph into at least 8 man in the next 5-6 years, Billings will remain a very important source for GRIZ recruiting !!!
And just as Trevyn and Jr. made us proud, I think Clay will do no less !!!

I think you are probably right. Afterall, this IS eGriz. I stand corrected.
I have heard a lot of amazing things about this young man. Sounds like a really great choice. I think he’s going to be breaking out as a heckuva Griz football player too.
Kraig Paulson, Todd Ericson, Jason Crebo and Loren Utterback all wore it for 4 years.
There’s a complete breakdown in the article. Several Griz players had it for three or more years.
