I actually dont mind ai usage in that regard! If something helps you communicate your idea clearly, I'm all for it. I'm not a huge fan of people copy and pasting ai prompted material though because it just lacks soul! I think they need to start offering some ethics courses on Ai usage so that we can learn how utilize it as a tool and not a crutch.

I've also found AI to gather information from unreliable sources. I like that the AI I use also posts the source for the information so I know when it's not a valid source and can choose to use the information or not.

You might say and post less often. Read, study and learn, and then post on something you know something about. Avoid jumping on people that do know what they talking about. Stop calling people old.

I think the demographics of this site skew heavily in the direction of "estranged boomer" so you can extrapolate from that what the likely reaction will be whenever someone (god forbid one of the Youths) suggests any sort of change.

"Estranged"? Huh? Boomers have been around and they can spot dumb ideas. They can also spot young whipper snappers who haven't earned their stripes.

They (not all) are also blind and really uninformed on a lot of things and really resistant toward change or adaptation toward a better way of doing things. They are a very stubborn bunch.

To be fair it seems like around half of the people on this website that are pushing for changes in the program are boomers. The site as a whole seems to be around 75% boomers and they are represented on both sides of embracing change or resisting it.
