Clarifying my position - they are kinda growing on me.

1. Yes it's just nice gesture from Coach Kennedy. I should've recognized that above all else.
2. He could use some sound advice in graphic design. Like just some alignment things! That would make his graphics visually pleasing, effective and memorable.
3. Two things can be true at once, they can look like shit and they can be a nice memorable gesture.
4. Screw you hoops, I like spider-man, so what? I'm sure you've watched an mcu movie in your day. (this one was from a personal comment, something he loves to do.)
5. They are kinda growing on me. Like they are just kinda uncanny but unforgettable. They are effective is what I'll say. Like a movie you watch and your like what the fuck did I just watch for awhile and then you're like ah now I kinda like the movie. Tommy wiseaus the room comes to mind
6. And I will just end on this, Fuck that poster form the previous forum who said that shit about being a girl, casual sexism on the forums shouldn't be something people are just cool with. I for one want more ladies to be griz fans and have fun watching the game of football and feel like they can sit down watch and have just as fun of time. Comments like that are just fucking embarrassing.

Also fuck I went over my word limit, I'm trying to get better at this. I will champion for the students, because there are so many kids waiting for an opportunity, not me, I like to grab my opportunities by the balls; But, I know so many of those kids that are so fucking talented that would just love it if the football coach embraced them. I think it would change a lot of the ways some of them view the football team. I like those guys I want more people to like those guys because they are good guys but football just get a bad rap historically and I'd love to see that change and I'd love to see Bobby Kennedy be the guy to make that change.

Also one last thing, that might clarify my lens a little more. I have worked as a professional graphic designer and tend to view things in that land scape through that lens first when critiquing.

I thought the graphics looked bad when I first saw them too but they have also grown on me as the response I have heard from recruits has been overwhelmingly positive. I think there could be something to the graphics are so bad that they are unforgettable.

Hates when people disagree with him. Hates when people grow. Pathetic ass energy, Overall weak Human, makes sense someone like you would have a genital wart.

Damn. Nailed it. 🙄

I’m proud of your personal growth. Many go their whole lives stuck in their ways regarding recruiting graphic quality and messaging.

YOU'RE talking about BK and his graphic design and you can't even use the word your properly. Hahaha, this is golden.
Holy shit. Misread on first read, I didn't know this was a publication and I needed to edit my texts. You’re right I want use the wrong “your” again because I would want you to get confused. Let me make sure I'm really using it correctly. You're lame af.

Hey! Let’s try to grow from this. You want personal growth? I still say try a genital wart. Growths don’t get much more personal.

I had to look up mcu movie. No, I didn’t watch stuff like that. Didn’t interest me. I was focusing on school, sports, fun, work and family. Now I focus on egriz, fun, exercise, travel and family. And listening to books and tapes on world history while I aqua-jog.

We each have our own interests. I focused on school, sports, and fun as well and still had time to foster other fun hobbies, like going to the movies and being a fan of things outside of sports because they aren't as sustainable long-term physically. I think you probably see me as some fat, lazy chud sitting behind a computer, but like you, this is one of my many hobbies. I also tend to find world history fascinating though far more boring than fictional literature, which is what really scratches my itch. The egriz hobby is a new one I'll admit that, and I definitely have a lot to learn, but how am I supposed to learn if I can't put opinions out there that are going to force me to juxtapose that opinon and allow me to grow as a fan? All I'm trying to do is become more invested in something I care about. I am not scared to have a wrong opinion because it's something you can grow from. What sucks is when you have a wrong opinion, people tend to not allow it to grow from it because they won't voice the nuance in yours and won't explain why you're wrong. When you take time to explain to me the things I'm not getting, I learn something from you, that's a large part of the frustration of the 90 percent of the time you’re a cocksucker because when you are not, you’re actually a good person to learn from and listen to.

Can you expand on this? I'm not getting what you are laying down. Can you expand on this and be more detailed? Who are the "many kids waiting for an opportunity"? Who are the "I like those guys"?

Where is this coming from? It reads like it's coming from another thread on the message board. For context for others, it would be good to connect it to the other thread.

Yesterday, before I’d seen Kennedy’s presser or anything, I saw Eli Kasberg post a graphic that, honestly, wasn’t very strong. That made me worry we might be pushing these out a little too fast, and I said that in a pretty shitty way in my original forum post. After sitting with the graphics for a while, though, they’ve started to grow on me. To answer your other question from the other reply, I think we’ve got a lot of really talented students who might just lack the confidence to step up and offer graphic design advice, or even talk to Coach Kennedy at all. But some of them could genuinely teach him a lot, and working with them in a collaborative way could also build him a lot of goodwill with the student body. Since I left athletics, I’ve also noticed a lot of students have a pretty sad, unfair viewpoint about athletes. I think if Bobby, or any coach, interacted with students more and made an effort to foster those relationships, a lot of those walls would come down. I was also frustrated because, from a design standpoint, the graphics aren’t great, and I was basically just trying to rant about that, assuming other people would agree. But it felt like people were defending the graphics, when really they were defending the sentiment behind them, which I actually agree is the more important part. It’s genuinely nice of Coach Kennedy to go out of his way to make them, and that matters.

I just also think that if he used the assets available to him, he could make something that’s both memorable and actually nice to look at. Even something simple, like stopping by the Media Arts department and asking a professor for a basic Adobe Illustrator walkthrough, could help a lot.

I wanna know about this “word limit”. Is this like Twitter now?
I am trying to communicate my ideas better in fewer words just in general so that people have an easier time conceptualizing my ideas. Just something I'm practicing in my life so I have an easier time with people and communication. Obviously, I have a long way to go.

I think he will do what you are asking about building relationships with the students, in due time, just give him time. He's been the head coach for only 23 days and has a lot on his plate to do some of the things that others on eGriz have pointed out have been lacking for years.
