Clair Howard/Griz Goalkeeper

I’m sure most on here probably don’t know her but you should. Today with her 4th shutout in 5 games, she became the Big Sky’s all time leader in career shutouts with 30. The Griz also finished the series sweep of Portland St to go to 4-0 in con play at the halfway mark. They are now unbeaten in their last 17 regular season con games.

In other news the Griz softball team started their con schedule yesterday and finished off a 3-0 series sweep of Portland St on the road. The team has struggled this year, primarily with pitching, but this could be a big lift for the girls and give them the mo they need to right the ship during the con schedule.

She’s a hell of a player and an even nicer person. I’ve had the privilege of having a couple classes and she is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen.

As for softball, it’s been tough. They played a difficult non-conf but seem to be finding their stride. Pretty young team but they got a bright future.
