Charlotte 49ers going FBS in 2015.

2013 startup program Charlotte 49ers just announced they are joining Conference USA in 2015.

It'll be interesting to see how these guys do basically right out of the gate.

I was under the impression you had to start in FCS and then move up, ala Old Dominion...

You are correct. They will play as an FCS independent for 2013 and 2014 before joining Conf. USA.
