Charlie Cox

I know he was talking to a few higher ectelon Division 2 schools this summer such as Seattle Pacific University. He would do well in the D2 ranks since he is not too physically gifted but tremendously talented.

He may not be a jet, but he is as fast with the ball as he is without it. There is nobody in AA that can come close to staying in front of him.

I really hope that Charlie has a great year because he is a very nice and friendly kid. Hellgate has the means to make a run to the state title without losing a single game. With Sentinel transfer Trevor Morris running alongside Cox in the backcourt opponents will have be stretched to the max since both can shoot. Perhaps the second most athletic person in Missoula, Jack McGillis, will be amazing crowds with his incredible dunks. Hellgate is stacked and the rest of the AA is not looking too great.

Perhaps the only other bright spot in Missoula basketball will be in the Sentinel gym which will be home to Mark Henkel. He will be seeing varsity time in this, his freshman year. Mark, the youngest Henkel, is a better shooter than Eric was at this stage in his career and is much more athletic. In the AAU circuit last year, Mark averaged a triple double.

Slow down there Mark has a ways to go. Mark may see varsity action if at all it will be limited. As far as Hellgate goes lets hope Coach Sampson can make all those players happy. I am afraid there isn't enough balls to go around on that team. One bright spot will be Kellen Hasquet on Sentinel. You just had the wrong bright spot.

Yes, Kellen Hasquet will be fairly enjoyable to watch, he can shoot the ball. But, if you want to see the beginnings of a great player, Mark Henkel is the one to come see.

Think this...
Kellen is like the Kobe Bryant of high school basketball this year. He'll score a crapload of points but his team will be horrid.
So think of Mark Henkel as LeBron with the Cavaliers. They won't make the playoffs but he'll eventually be the savior.

I don't even know if Mark will be the number 1 option in his freshman class. I have seen a big red headed kid who plays with Mark do a lot more then him. You know who he is? Mark will be a player when he grows up that is for sure though.

Yeah the red-head is named Andy something. He is already dunking the ball. Very physically gifted with a good build and some explosiveness. He can also shoot, and put up some real nice numbers in AAU with a fairly mature inside outside game. He and Mark are conjoined at the hip so they play very well together, good things are in the future for Sentinel.
