Cox was also the best player on the court for one stretch in that game.... He was eatin up whoever guarded him. Then their coach took him out of the game, and he never quite was the same when he came back in.

As for playin dirty.... I really just think they were playin hard. All those kids wanted to beat the team that they all wanted to play for comin outta high school. They showed a lot of effort.

I have no problem with Charlie, but with 10 Turnovers and 5-12 from the field, at what point was he "the best player on the court"?
:twocents:

Had any of you been at that game, you would remeber that in the first half... and the first stretch Cox was in the game, he was unstoppable. He was gettin lay ups, dishin up dimes, and me and my buddy were in awe... Though I am not a stat-Hitler like some, he had to have been like 4-6 from the field with few to no turnovers during that stretch.... then, just like I already stated, he went to sit the bench, and when he returned it was kinda ugly for him.

What would be silly is tryin to flame somebody about an opinion of a game you never saw........ not that that would be any of you. :thumb:

As I said before, I have NO problem with Charlie -- in fact, I'm looking foward to seeing him in a Griz uniform. I loved watching him play in high school. I also know he had a pretty good freshman year at WMC. However, I was at the Griz/WMC game, and I don't think he would count that as one of his better games -- when the Griz had the heat on, he had trouble doing much of anything. He did look better when the Griz backed off the pressure. I would hate for Griz fans reading this board to think that was one of his better games -- that was my point.

Good luck to Charlie as a UM Griz.

By the way, "for one stretch in that game" Eric Van Vliet was "also the best player on the court".

Yes you will not find this man on Rivals or Scout. I have no further information at this time but hopefully more will come out soon so I can assist you all with your burning desire that has become Grizzly Basketball!! :thumb:

I guess I could say that Hellgate's old "Three Amigos" I like to call them are officially going to be in Division I basketball programs.

Jack McGillis at Oregon State, Trevor Morris now at Idaho, and Charlie Cox with the Grizzlies. At least we have one of those amigos. Except I hear he's a redshirting walk-on :naughty: .
