Chas-So has hung in there, but J-State seems to have too many weapons. We've seen them before (but not the Auburn game until near the end), and this is the best they've looked.
 
A big td run by J'ville St, then another long kick return by CSU, what a great game!!! I have to ask, "Where is the defense?"
 
JSU played in Cheney 2 years ago and they were a hell of a team then, you could tell Jenkins was going to be a stud...

Fun game to watch, great representation for the FCS
 
Man Nguyen sucks as a RB. Both of these teams have 3 or 4 backs that are better than anything in the Big Suck conference
 
Can't disagree. I really like Pope but that Hammond kid is fast and tough as hell. We need that guy. Maybe Calhoun can beef up a little

We need one more push by Chas-So to run the total score up over 100. Unfortunately, it seems like their hot QB got dinged up a couple of possessions back.
 
I have nothing negative about Nguyen though. He isn't as good as the two tonight but his effort was maximal. Coach's job to find someone better if he can. Maybe he (Delaney or Stitt) couldn't.
 
Hate to say it, but all four of these teams would have absolutely ROLLED the Griz this year. Chuck South with that friggin' triple option, J-State with all the SPEED, epsecially on the D-line (EVERY STARTER AN SEC TRANSFER!!)...Richmond's D was VERY impressive...and ISU looked very good in that loss.

Griz just weren't up to par this year, that's fo sho.

Although I feel that calling out a 20 y.o. dude by name is a dick move, especially by a guy that never did shit in sports at any level, I agree that we are run-challenged in the Big Sky. This needs to be addressed. We need a power guy a la Reynolds/Hilliard/Humphrey/Moore, Scmidt was good too-- ASAFP. Is this staff even attempting to recruit that position?? I've heard nothing on that...
 
I'm pretty sure RB was one of the positions Stitt mentioned when he talked about getting some transfers/drop downs to fill obvious holes. We probably won't hear much about those until summer or fall.
 
Agree on all points in regard to defensive line and running back. Nothing against Nguyen, but he probably wouldn't crack the top two for 2 of the 4 teams that played today. He would be great as a change of pace back, but the Griz really need a big bruiser with speed for an every down back IMO. That's a tough combo to get at this level, but some of these teams still in the playoffs have found a way to land one or more, so why not Montana?
