Seriously, some the video you can watch is very impressive, and way better than Bigskytv, and even better than some tv stations (KPAX). I will take the video quality through this anytime over what we have become used to.
From what I've read on the cstv site, it sounds like the video streaming service you pay for (as in, the school pays per event) is just for the streaming. It doesn't include the actual camera work or anything like that. The school is still responsible for that. CSTV just gives them a place to host it and stream it for a fee. So the quality may stay the same as what we've become used to.
It will be interesting to see how this all turns out. I've sent some emails to see if the coaches show being a "pay only" thing was a mistake or if that's how it's going to be from now on (even though CSTV's site says audio is free to the fans).
I'm still of the opinion that instead of trying to find new ways to squeeze money out of existing fans of the BB program (and paying another company to help do it) the school should be trying to find ways to attract new fans. More fans = More season tickets, more sales of Griz gear, etc etc.. Cutting off ways for fans to follow Griz sports seems to be something that would drive more fans away.
