No - it was like 4th and 9 and it was a 15/20 yard pass I think. The hilarious thing was the whole reason he had to dive was because the pass was so bad. If he got hit in stride he would have gained a ton more yardage.

My honest answer. I kind of blocked it in my mind due to the mess that ensued with Pflu and a very good AD. Engstrom’s reign was a time of darkness for the U of M. What he did was blatantly wrong and an example of guilty until proven innocent. An absolute mishandling of due process.

I think the Mariani catch you're referencing was against Richmond (?), and replay ruled it incomplete.

You are absolutely correct. For some reason I've always had it in my head that there was a replay review that reversed the call. But I just went back and re-watched that play, and you are right (as you know!).
