Chance of running the table this year?

One thing that may save the Griz for the playoffs this year is not having any DIV II games. Even with 4 losses you should have the magic 7 counter wins. That may ship you out to NDSU though for the first round :) I definately would be rooting for you guys in that one! :thumb:

Win or lose, I really want to see us play better game to game. Yes, we could still lose to EWU and play quite a bit better than we did Saturday (a lot less turn overs, the team (not just TM) playing more like we did in the first half, etc.). We do this we could or at least come close to running the regular season table.

I agree. I hate to cop out but I need one more game to get a better feel for this team. It will be interesting to see what we could do without the turnovers. I highly doubt that we run the table though. There are too many good teams in the BSC with more parity. I don't think any team is going to go unscathed.

I'm gonna be a sugar coater and say the Griz can run the table, if they steal one from EWU that could be a springboard for the rest of the season and a run into the playoffs. I agree with the person that mentioned the Weber game above. I know your banned Grower1, but I hope your hemroids just got worse reading this post and not being able to respond.

I'd say we're dang fortunate NOT to have Sac, Portland and Poly on the schedule - The rest of the schedule is winnable after EWU if the coaching staff figures it out shortly. If that's happens, then hopefully the playoff committee likes a hot team at the end of the year.

BTW you do play North Dakota at their place.

Tough game for sure... Idaho State and Northern Colorado might be the only "breathers" on the schedule, and the Bengal game might end up being a shootout. I believe the Griz have the best overall athletic talent in the league (as we should with the built-in advantages), but it's like having a shiny new 18-wheeler with Danica Patrick driving... she makes all the dumbasses get a tingle down their leg who love shiny bobbles, but the object is to deliver the load and she can't even see over the dash.

Just curious, how do you arrive at that conclusion? Wishful thinking, broad based scouting of every team in the league, or Griz bias?

20-some straight winning seasons... Umpteen straight (-1) conference titles. No other University in the Big Sky Conference possesses our stadium facilites (I haven't seen your quonset hut yet) or fan base. We get recruits from Hawaii to Iowa... Look at the amount of NFL-invitees or players from the Griz roster. We might be experiencing a down year for us, but its a damn good year for everyone else. Just sayin'. Curiousity cured? or is Ignorance bliss? ;)

PS: With all that said, could be a good year for you guys to get us.

I think what happens with the rest of the season hinges on what happens on Saturday. If this team that just got knocked around focuses and gets fired up and goes into EWU and gets a W, I think nothing can stop the momentum and confidence that will build for the rest of the season. If they go in Saturday and get beat, I think it sends a big message that the mighty Griz have now been beat in two BSC games in a row. I honestly believe that Saturday will tell us what the rest of this season has in store. Go Griz!

Beating EWU at home will be big no doubt. I dint want to say this because it's 99.999999% unlikley. But somehow I feel like we're going to blow eastern out. Don't write this as smack, because my heart thinks it will be close and idk who will win. But my brain is not worried, it's just seeing the final something like 38-14. Someone please tell me why I feel like this...cause idk.

Have you ingested a large quantity of cough syrup in the last 4 hours? If so, pass the bottle brother, I want that feeling!
