Griz til I die

It's a late one tonight! 9:30pm on ESPN2. The broadcast team is Roxy Bernstein and Ben Braun. The Griz swept Idaho this year, but the Vandys are definitely playing their best Basketball of the season. They have not found themselves in this position in a long time, so tonight is a historic night for their program! Let's rain on their parade and get back to March Madness! Go Griz!

We haven’t had a true ball handling point guard which has led to the turnovers and struggles against the press. Not sure Idaho can do it with their 4th game in 4 days but if I’m them I would pressure us.

Have to handle that full court pressure! If Money is the designated inbound passer, then the rest of the Griz need to let the ball bounce until Money or the Ref grabs it. Last night the Griz looked confused and made lot's of mental errors. Can't do that in tournament ball games.

Battle for the first four.
Most likely yes. Idaho had a decent enough non-conference that maybe they would avoid the First Four, but the Griz would most likely get it. In some ways I'd be ok with the Griz getting the First Four game just for the sole purpose of being able to say we ended the Big Sky's tournament win drought. I think that would be kind of funny.

If I was Alex Pribble I would press the Griz the entire game. No doubt about it.

They handled NCU's press the last 3/4 minutes of the previous game pretty well - so they certainly have the capability to do it. PSU's is a bit different due to the athletes they have but it is baffling to me how the Griz randomly struggle against the PSU press every year when they (PSU) have ran some variation of it since forever.

If Montana wins the 2nd half, then they will win easily. Outscored Northern Colorado by 17 in the first half, but got outscored by 11 in the second half. Against Portland State, outscored them by 15 in the first half, but got outscored by 12 in the second. I believe that Montana will get out to a good lead at half again, but it comes down how they play in the second half because it will not be a blowout.

Mike Decourcy of FOX Sports has the Griz avoiding the First Four but still getting a 16 seed and playing Arizona in San Diego. All four of the 1 seeds are really good this year and they all have a chance to make it to the Final Four, but if you're the Griz and you want to at least have a respectable showing, then I think Arizona is the 1 seed you wanna play.

Odd that this game opened Idaho -1.5 and has moved to -2.5. particularly since UM swept the vandals this year. Could they be giving Idaho the benefit of home court advantage (which they essentially have).

Fuel for the fire, I guess.

Let's hope the seeding committee looks really hard and places a lot of significance on our road win at UNLV, but that home loss to Tech could come back to bite us in the butt : ) !!! I am hoping, praying for a # 15 seed.

But I am hoping, praying 🙏 even harder that we beat Idaho tonight because if we lose to the Spuds tonight, our dancin' shoes 👞 👟 😢 go back in the closet until at least next year : ( !!!

We're gonna need more upsets in other conference tournaments for the Griz to get up to a 15. You're gonna need like Utah Tech to win the WAC, somebody shitty in the Big West to win, somebody in the American East not named UMBC, etc. Unfortunately we hurt ourselves bad in non-conference. the UNLV is not gonna be enough when you look at losses to Lamar (who fired their coach), Oakland, and Tech.
