Who have you played at home???? NO ONE... The Big Sky tore up the WCC this year...

Let me know when you beat a Top 25 team at home. You beat 1 ranked team this year. ONE

And I just checked... Every common opponent you have with the Griz(6 Total) lost to the Griz by more points than they lost to you.

I think GU does a pretty great job of beating ranked teams away from home, which is more impressive than winning @ home; especially considering how everyone thinks the refs favor GU @ home.
One thing that I have heard alot of announcers and analysts comment on this season is how GU plays to the level of their opponents. This is how they were able to beast Michigan State and play with Memphis, but almost lost to LMU (who has a losing record). Its unfortunate that the rest of Gonzaga's conference isn't quite up to their level, or I think the Zags would be in better shape for the tournament. I also agree that beating good teams on the road proves alot about this team.

Congrats on what looks to be a good win. That Hasquet kid is pretty good.......even if he reminds me of Butthead a little. :thumb:

No no not Butthead. Herman Munster.

I know we beat Portland State. Did you both times?

We also beat St. Joes and Virginia at home.

Yes, and we beat them by 22. What was the zags' final margin?

How huge was Hasquet tonight? He has a knack for steppin' it up for big games. He made the difference tonight. I'm jacked that we get to watch him for the next 3 years. I was glad to see the All-Tournament Team selection group recognized his effort -- it was huge! 20pts, 13 boards. Still can't believe Ellis plays ahead of Martin!! Makes me sick... I sure hope Martin doesn't pack his bags after the season.

You beat them both times? Yeah, except for the time you didn't. On the road.

Man, I noticed that too. Martin looks way better that Ellis to me. I guess that's why I'm not a coach though....

Quick question for ya kadeezy. Is Idaho State and Boise State really that good? Cuz I know the Zags played UConn and didn't even lose by 25.

first of all ellis played a great game nobody can take that away from him.... this is what baffles me

You have a kid who definately helped lead your team to the NCAA's last year. He had a few faults as a true freshman, namely, defense and turnovers. He has improved immensely in both aspects and yet can't see the floor. This kid is so good, I hope he stays.

Attendance: 3163

Pathetic, NAU. What's so hard about packing your own gym for the conference championship and a shot at the Big Dance?

Ellis is the most clutch free throw shooter on the team in the final two minutes. That kid has ice water in his veins.

I have to admit that I haven't watched the Griz much this year, but they impressed me tonight. I had no idea they had such great shooters on the team. I think they will be a tough game for whoever gets them in the first round.

Well, in their defense, why would you want to go watch your team get worked over in their last game of the season?

This was an automatic loss for NAU. I think the fan turnout proved that.

Martin can look better than Ellis, but Ellis gives us more quickness, assists and steals. When Martin learns to get his shots inside the offense he will get his minutes. Plus another thing that hurts him is that he is a smaller version of Criswell. Ellis is the only traditional point guard we have. With Virg and Kev gone next year there will be plenty of minutes.

Too bad UConn is not gonna win it all! That title goes to Villanova!!!

Put money on it!

Sorry to jump in but the answer is yes. More and more pro scouts are there everyday. :thumb: When you played UCONN I don't believe they had their starting point gaurd. Wasn't he suspended til second semester?

That is exactly why Ellis plays over him. Plus I think Martin makes a great bench player. He can come in and if he's hot you leave him in there but if he goes into the game sometimes without his head like he does than you can pull him out to settle him back down. Martin is a 2 and if he stays I think he can have a real good year and see his fair share of scoring. I hope he sticks it out as we'll need him to help replace Criswell and Matthews.[/quote]

Oh god! All I need is to be taking betting advice from you Swilly.

but how can you even see if he is hot when he is in 3 mins and takes one shot, you can't expect many players to have much of an impact in 3 mins.
