for people not impressed with the Griz locker room, compare it to NDSU new locker room this year. Montana is way better:

And it's not even close. :thumb:
For those of you who are happy to just enjoy something very nice for the griz ... way to go.

For those who worry about comparisons to other schools ... for what other reasons ... smh

:thumb: Both programs deserve the new improvements. Like mentioned by some of the players, current and future players are enjoying the results of past success. Many of the old timers may have taken pride in accomplishing much with very little. The window dressing is nice, now as in the recent past all the schools with less take extra pride in taking the big boys down a notch.
UM has taken some big hits after a good run and it's nice to things being put back together. Congratulations to NDSU and Bison nation for your success and all the window dressing that goes with it.

I was at the grand opening last night. I assure you there wasn't anyone who was "underwhelmed".

 It would take more than $250,000 to build a room that big to fit everyone!

I'm pretty small compared to most here...I mostly provide advice on special teams.

Me: "Hey, Griz - be better on special teams."

I think it's golden.

watching the ASU Washington game, they showed a clip of the new ASU digs, sick, they even got a barber chair! oh and ASU is up 13 zip in 3rd

I know we did not see video of the entire space but I was curious. Was there supposed to be new training facilities - wrapping tables, whirlpool tubs etc? Have those been done yet?

kb, I've taken pics and videos for out of state family and friends of Glacier Park and they were not impressed until they saw it in person. I suggest that it's much nicer in person.

Sure I gotcha. Just looking at other pictures and videos of mid and top tier FBS programs and miles ahead of what this seems to be. I assume there is more not seen by me yet

This is going to be a great facility, and will put us way ahead of our piers, but if anyone is expecting this to compare to the likes of “top tier” FBS programs they are going to be disappointed. It’s perfect for UM, but it’s not going to jump off the map like some of the premier facilities in college football.

Exactly! This building is a fraction of a cost to the Texas locker room so no one should compare it to that or any power 5 team. However, this is a premier facility that beats a lot of mountain west schools and is amazing for FCS level.

UM's Champion Center is exactly like the brand new Colorado State (Mountain West) facility. Just change the colors...

No, that is part of the planned Dahlberg renovation. They want to build a state of the art training/medical facility there for ALL sports. It's in a plan, but the money isn't there yet. A complete renovation of the student-athlete infrastructure of Dahlberg is high on Kent's list. Basically to turn all that you don't see inside Dahlberg into the state of the art facility for everybody that participates in UM athletics. Had they done the training center in the Champions Center, I was told it would have had to be a lot bigger, because a training center/medical facility has to be on the ground floor due to the tubs and pools, and it also would have raised the price tag signifigantly.

Hershel Walker also said at UM on Friday that the Champions Center was as nice a facility as he has seen...

This facility honestly seems on par with what a lot of the big dogs have......once we get an indoor practice facility we will be passing what a lot of Mountain West schools have.

Sounds like the next step is to do the underbelly of the stadium and Adams center. Get it state of the art. Then they want to focus on an indoor practice facility. At least that's what Haslam and Sundberg said Monday.
