Centralized thread on Tripp/Coyle/Kistler/Poehls/etc buzz

Tyler Starr, USD Linebacker, was featured on the the Nashville news last night. He is training with a trainer in Nashville getting ready for the combine. It was pretty random to see really since there are plenty of other players actually from the Nashville area prepping for the combine.

JP Kanongata'a has put together a website featuring three highlight videos. Good to see he's keeping at it, could be a guy that could get a free agent camp invite!

Wow. Is Montana (the state) becoming Linebacker central?

Yup (Tripp, Coyle and JPK), and I was pointing out that UM had good linebackers (as were others), probably going to the NFL, long ago:

"UM's linebackers are the best in the conference and the deepest. UM is now playing 6 linebacers. Tripp and Coyle would start for virtually any I-A team in the country. Coyle is turning into an outstanding linebacker, and one of the better middle backers to play for UM. He was always good, but he has come on strong this year. Tripp is a monster, and will play in the NFL." 11/5/12

"I wouldn't pick Coyle over Tripp, but I agree that Coyle deserved better. I think they both may go to the NFL." 11/20/12

Here's what the dumbass Grizbrokebacker was saying back then:

BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Tripp is good and a great kid and could wreak havoc in a weak to mid-level conference, but ANY 1-A? He's not THAT good! Coyle? I see you left off a couple letters... didn't you mean NAIA?"

Well I was more referring to the fact that 3 of his top 5 small school linebackers in the NATION were born in lil' ol' Montana!

Slipped through the cracks for me at least, a nice post senior bowl write up on the guys who had the better performances, Jordy Tripp at #4

4. #37 Jordan Tripp/Montana IB/WB 6026/237 30 7-8” Arm/9 5-8” Hand

Jordan came to Mobile as one of the most heralded “sleepers” in the country based on the scouts’ comments during the regular season. A combination Mike/Will, he has a proportioned build with the frame to add even more weight. His best position may end up being Will, because he is athletic and can chase from the backside, however, he is capable of making the calls as he did for the Jaguars’ staff all week. Jordan has the skill set to develop and will likely become an NFL starter in due time.

1-on-1 PASS COVERAGE: Wins: 3 Losses: 2

1-on-1 BLITZ: Wins: 2 Losses: 3

SENIOR BOWL SCOOP: This FCS first team All-American is a 3rd generation Grizzlies’ football player. He played in 52 career games with 38 starts and accumulated 336 total tackles.

NFL CAREER FORECAST: Potential Starter/Contributing Backup

Tripp's stock is at an all-time high, as it should be, after a rock solid showing at the combine. I'll spare re-hashing a ton of tweets put up in other threads but here's some extras on Tripp as well as a few other comments on some other Griz players.
