Central Washington at #4 Montana Game Thread

Due to wedding, I was not able to watch game until about 7 minutes left. I turned to the TV on just in time to watch CWU run the ball back 40 yards and it didn't get much better after that. The Griz looked horrible in my book. But part of that I blame on coaching since they seem to take 3/4s of playbook away. How do back up QBs develop if you don't let them run the entire offense. Three and outs don't build confidence. Our 2s basically got worked yesterday by a so-so DII team.

I watched MSU and their back up had the entire playbook all the way to beginning of 4th qtr. He developed rhythm and looked really good.

Our backup he the entire playbook. Shay started. You guys need to realize the 3-4string guys will only just simple plays because they don't know the offense. They are still learning to read the d. Adjust the line, shift the WR. Audible and then drop back and go. Being 3-4 means you do not get much time to have live plays. That's why they don't have the full playbook.

The problem with this post is that it's really well thought out and is an excellent explanation. What we are looking for on here is a chance to bitch and moan when we win 48-14. Every other team in college football is better than us, the reason we don't go undefeated every year is because we suck (it has nothing to do with the other team, it's mostly our coaching problems).

Our 2's (and in many places our 3's) gave up exactly ONE TD to this "so-so D-II team" in about a quarter and a half of play. That's hardly what I'd call "getting worked".

Just remember he only saw the last 7 minutes of the game, AZ. He clearly was able to judge the 2nd and 3rd stringers during that last bit of garbage time.
