The 3rd quarter ended just now? Wow, this is going to take a while. We do need the practice on kick coverage though.

Most of those guys out there on kick coverage now are guys I've never heard of... :lol:

While the Griz are padding their stats against a D-II, Vernon Adams padded his stats against the Washington Huskies...VA threw SEVEN TD passes today. With zero INT's....if we play pass defense like this against EWU they might put up 100 on us.

EWU is going to hang 50 on everyone. It could be ugly.

Kidder's wrist didn't heal properly from when he broke it freshman year, and now it's bad again. Surgery and redshirt this year to get him back for next year.

Hadn't noticed this before ... but, boy there were a lot of penalties in the game: 19 between the two teams for 195, split about evenly. Sloppy.

It was great to be back at a GRIZ football game.
Glad to see the kicking and punting were solid today.
Kickoff coverage team was really bad. That needs to improve a lot quickly.

I too was shocked the starters played as long as they did.
I really would not have minded the starting offense staying in those minutes, had we let our Simis and Gustafson get reps in with them. I hate it when we need to build QB depth for the future and the kids get out there just to hand it off. That is not how you build qb depth. I would have alternated Simis and Gus every other possession the whole 2nd half.

Please don't give me the sportsmanship thing either. I would have even been fine with Simis and Gus getting normal game plans to move the ball down the field and settle for fg's. This was a perfect opportunity to give valuable learning to the QB's. Instead, very little was accomplished for those QBs.

I hope Van can play that well against better competition and he stays healthy. He is so fun to watch.

I also liked our main defensive rotational players. It is also good we got playing time for guys deep down the depth charts. Those boys do need some work on angles and wrapping up though.
