I don't think so. They turned down both hoping to make the NIT. I also believe that with the CBI being a pay to play setup, that is something that the Athletic Department can not afford to do.

Heard CBI bracket should be out in about an hour

I can just imagine how you would have went off on O'Day had they accepted this CBI invite yesterday and then found out they could have had an NIT bid. O'Day did the prudent thing by waiting. The fact this field still is not announced is proof that teams are not busting the door down to get in.

That is not how the process works. They call and say they need a commit or they are going to go find other teams. UM is not such a big deal they can dictate terms. :thumb:

msu hosted in 2002 and lost. so that wasnt an invite. that was an auto bid. so it is 2003. i rmember that one.

Auto bids started in 2006 after the NCAA bought the NIT.
