MBBALL Cats

Well making the tournament and not even being considered good enough for an outright 16 seed speaks volumes.
 
If EWU, UM, Weber or UNCo would've done what they were supposed to do the BSC rep would've been right in the traditional 13-15 seed. The league wasn't much different than in year's past. Hell Weber State beat a damn good St. Mary's team early on before they got inside their own heads and started playing that stagnant offense game and ole defense that they played at the end of the year.

That is the whole point. Those teams you mention couldn’t get it done. It was a weak conference this year.
 
Watching Colorado State shows how far the program needs to go to be competitive as a non power 5 team. Couple regulars are D2 transfers so there are good players out there, just need a few more here. Good looking team.
 
17-17 is the worst record in the tournament, however, Getting in the first four is a good thing. You go up against Grambling with a chance to get a W. By the way, an MSU win get the Griz some money so I hope they pull it off. Looks good as the conference gets a W going into next year.

That's a weak argument, there were many upsets in conference tournaments this year. NC state got hot and won the ACC tournament beating UNC and Duke. That doesn't mean UNC sucks! That's just basketball. The Cat's got hot and deservedly won the Big Sky, but at 17-17 from the Big Sky they get a 16 seed of course

I just think the conference was weak this year. It lost a lot of good talent last year through graduation and transfers. Yes, the Cat's, with a very mediocre team, did get hot in the tournament.
 
1st time a Big Sky team has ever been in the play-in tournament.

Cats got hot at the right time. EWU/Montana would have been a 14 or 15 seed.
 
Gambling just took a one point lead for the first time in the game. Kitties have had several 11 point leads. 5 1/2 minutes to go and the cats are not looking good.
