They shot plenty of 3’s. They were not making them. Good effort and never gave up. They lost by 10 to an excellent team. Not bad!

They were 2 for 17,..instead of bringing Eastern out they chose to force things inside! Poor choice of offense...had the chance to represent Montana in the dance but now will listen to the Beags for another year!🙄

There was no turning point in this game the Cats NEVER got the game under Double Digits after the first 5min talk about consistent buzzer to buzzer beat down. In practicality Cats were just as far away from beating them a the Fizzlies
 
The right team won. Eagles have the best chance to do some damage in the tournament depending on matchup than anyone in our conference outside of maybe Weber. They have great outside shooters and bigs who can get to the rim to score and rebound and then step out and make a 3, too. There will be a lot of higher seeded teams who won't know what hit them assuming they don't come out flat.

There was no turning point in this game the Cats NEVER got the game under Double Digits after the first 5min talk about consistent buzzer to buzzer beat down. In practicality Cats were just as far away from beating them a the Fizzlies

I would say the Griz loss to the Eagles was much more of a beatdown.

Well yeah being down by close to 40pts is has to be one of the worst beat downs against a conference opponent in Griz history I would think/hope lul. My point was from a binary win loss view both Cats and Griz had essentially the same 0% chance of winning during their respective games.
Fun Fact in 3 games EWU 258 > Griz 202 = 19pt average loss margin....that actually feels closer than it really was. (Gm1 Ewu 27pt lead, Gm2 29pt lead, Gm 3 38pt lead) Against vaunted UM D half time point totals of 51, 49, 44.

Oh well we were a middling team in a clearly horrible matchup with apparently no answers seeing how it got worse each game. Pleanty of talented players for next year hopefully we will come back strong, and from a meta perspective its probably for the best EWU got in they have the best shot at making some noise for the Big Sky and can maybe bring the league a big cash prize with a W. Going to be hard not to want to see them get smacked down, but I guess I hope they get a W.
Think they are better than their record but I wonder if they can get higher than a 15 seed with a 16-7 record and exactly 0 impressive wins unless you count a win against SUU. AND the Big Sky as whole had 0 impressive wins this year, unless you go by just name recognition MSU had a win over 12-15 UNLV and Griz had a win over 5-21 UDub.

Aside from some terrible tournament losses, these 3 loses to EWU are nowhere near as bad as the beat down that PSU put on us in the 07-08 season IN Missoula where they beat us 108-56. That was in the early days of Tinkle where our teams failed to get up for big games (MSU, PSU, etc.) and we, well I was at least, were wondering if Tinkle was the right hire.

EWU got a #14 seed for the Big Dance, and play 3-seed Kansas in the opening game. That'll be tough ... Kansas was ranked 11th in the AP poll, last I looked.

This is not a bad draw for Eastern... Kansas as a 3 seed is very generous they should have been a 5 not to mention they have Covid issues. This will be a competitive game that Eastern can win
