so according to espn website incarnate word has a game scheduled against iowa state to make up for iowa states weather suspended game against south Dakota state, if incarnate wins against msu what would the ncaa do with the game against the bison . is it up to incarnate to decide what to do, take the big money game for an up and coming athletic program or play the bison game. I am interested how this rule works, any body know?

Incarnate Word is a very good team in the tough Southland Conference. They set a bunch of offensive records this year with their QB, RB and WR breaking records this year. On defense they have a DE that broke the record for sacks. You can bet this team has a lot of speed. Will be a tough game for MSU.

No on both accounts. Incarnate word is not a good football team...and their conference was a dumpster fire this season.

If they were not a good team, I don't think they would be in the playoffs!

Umm....they are not good. They do have a coach who came from Texas Tech...young and is doing well. Not BSC or FCS playoffs well. Cats by 21 or more. Book it.

Those same kids that were spitting on the Griz at midfield after the game?

I was at the game and stayed to watch the aftermath until both teams left the field. The fellas who were dancing on the grizzly logo and who planted the bobcat flag there were not Montana kids. I didnt see the spitting, but even if they did, it’s a rivalry game and emotions run high. It was an epic college football game to watch live, must have been an incredible experience to have played in it so yeah they get a pass from me I wasn’t offended in the least.

First, did I say Montana kids? Second, rival or not, there is a line for being classy, and spitting on the logo is on the wrong side. I am fine with celebrating.

Well let’s see, in a previous post Yukon said that there were 45 Montana kids on their team and I believe your comment was that those “same kids” were spitting on the griz logo at mid field, so correct me if I’m wrong then what kids were you referring too? Remember that spin turf is pretty indestructible. I think you might be surprised by how much saliva, snot, sweat, blood, tears and other bodily fluids get deposited on a football field during a game by both teams. No worries though, they will just hose of the offending bobcat *loogies and regurgitated furballs and we will be good to go for next season.

Spitting on the ground in front of someone is a global sign of anger, hatred, disrespect, or contempt used to represent “symbolic regurgation” or an act of intentional contamination. However, in India the second most populous country in the world mothers spit at their children to ward of evil spirits, who would of thought? In China the worlds most populous country, spitting on the ground is considered medicinal and isn’t giving a second thought. I guess it’s a just a cultural thing. The flag plant failed because it didnt stick in the turf which was amusing to me anyway. I can assure you that all of the Grizzlies players had left the field when the assault on the logo occurred so I would argue that the *loogie hocking and furball regurgitation also failed because they were not witnessed by the them. :thumb:

(*Large slimy ball of spit, ideally mixed with nose snot, that is formed by coughing up and hocking phlegm from ones throat. Ideally should be viscous and yellowish bobcat green in color which distinghuishes it from your everyday saliva which is pretty benign when spit on spin turf logos.)

My statement was in reference to rooting for the Cats in general. There were members of the Cats spitting on the logo after the game during their celebration. I will never root for the Cats, and even less so after the lack of class. FTC

Bigger picture take: Incarnate Word is in the playoffs. The Montana Grizzlies are not. I hope Bobby does better with his second full recruiting cycle, and does better coaching the team in 2019.

Contract cancels the game if either team makes the postseason. No one thought it would be an issue for the team when the game was scheduled.

I was thinking that a petition to join the Southland was the ticket to future success.

It may be, provided that we can also convince them to shorten games to three periods to match our staff's attention span.

Classy...like fans throwing dog sh*t from the stands on to our players. Dont get all holier than thou because both side have done things that shouldn't have been done.

I don't think I ever defended the classless fans, which both sided have. What I did say is that several players crossed the line by spitting on the logo.

Lol. Well you wouldn’t be very happy with your beloved griz then as they’ve done the exact same thing on our field after a win. But like a lot of people in this rivalry people refuse to believe it’s ever their team and their kids but always the other guys.

Once again, I made a statement about what the players did yesterday, nothing more. By the way FTC
