I don't comment on the main football board at BCN very often because honestly it is hard to not talk smack. I usually do it in a joking manner but its never taken well. Just like its usually not taken well here when a cat fan talks smack. I have lived with football players at both schools so I respect both programs. Its always fun to see how both sides react to things.

I do write on the other boards from time to time because for being cat fans a lot of them seem to be Aok.

Good point. I have posted there a few times and each time I got blasted for just being a Griz fan. My posts were either being complimentative or informative. They were never to inflame. We have the same type of fans on this board who want nothing to do with good, respectful fans of the Cats.

Yep, it's too bad this happens on both boards. There are some very good Cat posters here (ILTC, WBTF, etc), and there are good Griz posters on eGriz (GrizLaw, etc). But when guys like those get driven from the board because of the jerks, it's a loss to everyone.

Anywho, this kid seems to be low-risk high-reward. I can't imagine he's coming on with a full scholarship, so what's to lose?

That is such a horseshit critique if my memory has served me well the last two years we have started and played more Montana kids than the griz and we didn't play well in the cold, explain that. The weather has nothing to do with it, we simply got beat by two teams (griz, ndsu)that outplayed us and frankly seemed to want it more than us those two days.

Without him the Cats would be starting Darius Jones (SR) who is pretty solid technician, but doesn't come up with a lot of interceptions and Deonte Flowers (So) who should lead the team in interceptions next year for the Cats (low standard) but shows a tremendous ability to jump routes.

Where we are struggling is at the safety position which Barnett hasn't ever played. Worth the risk because he brings some size to the position. Was rated 4 star recruit and was signed by Texas so there is some talent there if he can stay healthy.
