I will give the Cats their due they are playing lights out. But Sam Houston is not very good.
How did they win the chipper last year?

They didn't it was a Covid year so it doesn't really count when there is like only 10 teams that didn't quit.

Well they beat NDSU in the quarters, JMU in the semi and SDSU in the finals.

What an absolute joke that side of the bracket turned out to be.

The #8 seed ended up being more like the #4 seed.

Only way that happens is if MSU quits trying to put points on the board and play conservative. This game is almost mathematically out of reach if the Cats don't turn the ball over.

good thing nobody told that to the 2009 Montana team versus South Dakota State

One of my all time favorites. I still go watch the highlights at least once a year! That and the game against Appalachian State

And they have the same team. They didn't lose a single player.

Yeah not sure about this whole stacked side of the bracket idea… SHSU beat NDSU, JMU, and SDSU. The #4/5 beat the #3/6 on the other side. SDSU was in the finals in the spring. Idk…. Stats and all < I feel

Announcers have anointed “touchdown tommy” as a passer. He has one completion.

:P

I know as verified UC Davis fan and nothing else, you have no dog in the fight, but it’s pretty cool to see the beat down thus far, right?

I was in the SW end zone area for that game. I remember coming back after the half with my father in law and watching MM80 take it to the house on the kickoff, and score like three more including “the catch.” Marc took over that game and may have been drafted based on that comeback performance.

It was truly amazing to see live and in person.

Jeff fisher was a genius that year. (His rookie KR made the pro bowl)

Nice! I'll bet it was great! I only watched the tube....

For those who follow the UFC...

Montana-native Suga Sean O'Malley (born in Helena) knocked out Paiva in Round 1 of UFC 269 tonight

I'm lucky enough to be able to watch both the cats and the UFC at the same time.

Going for the 2 the first time didn’t make sense. Even if you got three td’s plus 2 points they were still down by four. The second time just seems pointless until you get it closer. Leaving points on the field is a no-no this time of year.
