I'm beginning to think Baldwin makes as many excuses as Screamin. Just man up and admit you we're getting your ass kicked and were fortunate to hang onto the W.

We were getting our asses kicked and were fortunate to win the game. Same with last year with the onside kick and late score. I guess you could say the same about 2010 while we're at it.

You could make the same case for EWU in 2004 (Blocked FG), 2007 (Bagley catch on 4th down), and 2009 (Very questionable penalties against EWU). Throw 2011 in there, too, had Mitchell not thrown that pick on the 1 YL, or the one late in the game that we would have gone up on had we scored.

It doesn't really matter. The fact remains that this match-up is almost always a close game in recent years. At the end if the day, a close L is still a L.

I truly believe that we ran out of time. Game of momentum, Eastern had it earlier in the game, it was all Griz at the end. Another 5 minutes in the game, Griz win. I'm not one to compare games against opponents, so many games are really games within the game, but I'm looking forward to playing the cats. Van healthy makes a ton of difference.

Spin it how you want...I do find it comical though, that the same Beagles fans who come on here and INSIST that they figured out SHSU's offense last year and that's why they almost came back and beat them in the playoffs come on here and INSIST that the only reason the Griz almost came back was because "Baldwin took his foot off the gas".

Has little to do with run vs pass, but the plays being called. Especially on defense (prevent). Baldwin has essentially stated that he coached not to lose rather than continue what we had been doing all game.

No, he is just being realistic and doesn't see the world through dark pink colored glasses. As for my prediction I am still on track . EWU was the only team I think can beat the Cats in the BSC. If marshall doesn't get the D shored up I could be proven wrong with cat / griz. However, the Cats do have a great team, you would be foolish to deny that. Look for the Cats to be super pissed and have a huge chip on their shoulder, ESPECIALLY on defense. No way SUU beats the Cats at home. The griz have a legitimate shot on the 23rd but the edge goes to the Cats in that one. EWU will go unbeaten the rest of the season. Weber is going to give you guys a run, it won't be a no brainer win. If the griz can't get their run game going then they will have a close game with Weber, let alone the Cats.
