Cats Leading Sac 20-17 Early in 4th

PlayerRep the Griz offensive stats are skewed by your schedule. Take the 70 they put up against Idaho State. Idaho State has given up over 50 to every team they have played. You have only played one conference team with a decent defense. Your stretching when you say the Griz played a good game against Weber. Weber is an inept team having only won one game. I watched that game and it was ugly.

I said UM's defense played well, and they did. Didn't say the Griz played a good game against Weber. Gave up only 238 yards to Weber, well below their average. Got some turnovers. Yes, UM played ISU, but so did many teams in the conference. UM also has played a bunch of top 25 teams, so that arguable should have screwed the total offense stats down. UM has played the 2nd and 3rd best defenses in the conference, in terms of total defense. In any event, had UM not played ISU, UM's total offense would still be no. 1 in the conference.

Tripp will be worked into such a lather to stop Cody that he will let the receivers run wild through his assignments
Wow, if Tripp sucks your linebackers are ABSOLUTELY FUQING HORRID as according to the BSC stats Jordan does not have one MSU linebacker ahead of him in any category. Strange.

Its what happens when you have a very deep defense, when your defense sucks a few average players rack up stats

UM's linebackers are the best in the conference and the deepest. UM is now playing 6 linebacers. Tripp and Coyle would start for virtually any I-A team in the country. Coyle is turning into an outstanding linebacker, and one of the better middle backers to play for UM. He was always good, but he has come on strong this year. Tripp is a monster, and will play in the NFL. UM's d-line is the best in the conference, in my view. UM is playing 8-deep there.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Tripp is good and a great kid and could wreak havoc in a weak to mid-level conference, but ANY 1-A? He's not THAT good! Coyle? I see you left off a couple letters... didn't you mean NAIA?

MSU's linebackers are the best in the conference and the deepest. MSU is now playing 6 linebacers. Owens and Moeakeola would start for virtually any I-A team in the country. Moeakeola is turning into an outstanding linebacker, and one of the better middle backers to play for MSU. He was always good, but he has come on strong this year. Owens is a monster, and will play in the NFL. MSU's d-line is the best in the conference, in my view. MSU is playing 8-deep there.

FIFY....

Both teams have very good/deep front 7's (UM may be slightly better at LB and MSU might be slightly better on DL but both are very close). MSU has a MUCH better secondary and QB. UM is stronger at OL. RB's, WR's, and Special teams are probably a wash.

Also, I think Minter has been healthy for exactly 1 game this year (UND). I think his health could be a big factor in determining the UM/MSU outcome.

awesome thread. the smack is just awful however. like some of the worst i have ever read. we need disick or someone else to chime in and make this right. just terrible. :(

Hmmm... you may have better depth, but our starting front 7 against the griz... we have you there. The combo of Schreibeis, Daly, Minter, and Ashworth... backed by Owens, Moeakiola, and Moore, is beyond stout.

Pretty much dead on. I would only disagree about the RB's, I think UM is stronger and Special teams MSU is stronger there. Hell everyone is stronger there than UM, with the exception of dweebers punt team.

If you have a healthy Dan Moore, Id definitely give the nod to UM. Without a healthy Moore, it's very close...you may be right though, UM may have a slight advantage at RB...especially with the big hogs that are doing the blocking.

MSU's special teams aint that special.

As you usual, you don't have a clue. Coyle, a junior, is starting to be compared to UM's middle backer from last year, who was drafted. Coyle is a stud. Has really come on this year. Tripp is 245 (as of earlier in the season at least) and is one of the fastest players on the team. He's definitely NFL material. He can play backer or put his hand down and rush from the corner. Or play in the secondary on occasion. Very versatile.

Although he is a cat fan, I think wbtfg's analysis is very fair and accurate. It it also almost dead on with my post a few pages back where I was called a homer by another cat fan.

I don't come on to this site and talk shit. Cody is goin to run it down your D's ass. Enjoy no playoffs. Just the truth. See Ya.

Cody brought it last year to the tune of 11 carries for 45 yards. I was recently told by a whining cat fan that that the coaches screwed up last year's game due to bad play calling. I guess this fan thought Cody should have been carrying the ball more in the second half while the fans were busy exiting the stadium??

Three areas that I forgot are TE (advantage UM), coaching (advantage MSU), bye week (who knows). Will the UM players be able to rest and then come back refocused and sharp or will the week of have similar effects to what happened to the Detroit Tigers in this year's world series and come out flat?

Coyle is the only one that would see the field at MSU

The ONE team that beat MSU, has 7 wins.

The FIVE teams that um has beat, have 7 combined wins.

In my world, that means that you turds are the best of the turds.

We find ways to win and well...........you don't. You guys damn near snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at weebs. Whew.......way to go.

Well give them some credit. Half of their team was probably pretty tired from being out at parties and buying pills. That will kill your endurance late in games.
