After seeing how both UM and MSU did against UND, I don't know that Griz fans can criticize MSU's secondary.

The FIVE teams that um has beat, have 7 combined wins.
In my world, that means that you turds are the best of the turds.
We find ways to win and well...........you don't. You guys damn near snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at weebs. Whew.......way to go.

what have the cats done to show they're "cocky"? or do you mean a select group of posters on this board? two different things....

msu... the mighty powerful team takes another loss at the hands of a poor unrated team that only beat wimps during the season. Ash plans on a "do not choke" concept for the Griz game! But OMGawd^^^^^
Meanwhile the Griz take it in stride. Way to many (29) young guys to worry about the bobscats.
EGriz has lots of room for the "msu lost to the Griz excuse list" so let us begin the "WE LOST TO THE GRIZ AGAIN EXCUSE LIST' ***********
The Griz? Just another (yawn) game at home with lots of beer, wine and whiskey. Good looking girls (some drunk) wishing they could play in thre game. And no they won't choke! Aaahhh I just can't wait.

But remember, this year's X-factor for the Griz is that Delaney will be at the helm. The Griz are in "uncharted" territory for a "Cat/Griz" game as a result. Should be a hoot!

The cats have one complete game this year where they looked very good against UND and thoroughly dominated them. That was preceded by several mediocre games where they looked extremely beatable against Drake, Southern Utah, & UC Davis. Then this past weekend they didn't exactly impress again against Sac State. I will acknowledge that the cats should have a very good team - there is certainly talent on the team. I actually expected this year's cat team would be much better. I continue to be surprised by the number of mistakes made by their offense.
The griz are also extremely talented regardless of how they have played for the majority of the year. Safety has been a glaring weakness and the CB play hasn't been great, but it has improved over the year. QB play has been marked by poor passing. Beyond DB and QB and coaching, this is an extremely good team. The O-line and running backs are very good, and the receiving corp is also very good if they can get somebody to lob it to them.
On offense, the cats have a decided advantage at QB. The running backs are close to a draw due to the griz missing Moore. But I believe the griz have the advantage in all other offensive positions (OL - huge advantage, TE, WR). Frankly, the cats are really missing having a play maker at WR and they would be extremely good if they had a better O-line.
On defense, the cats have an advantage in the secondary, but it's not like they are great by any means. After that, the griz and cats are very similar in the front 7. I do believe the griz have better depth overall up front. The big issue is that MSU's Minter continues to have hammy issues. That is a major loss for them when he doesn't play or doesn't play at full speed.
Special teams is close to a draw as well with both teams doing some things well and then making some mistakes. Call this even.
Griz get the home field advantage plus the benefit of a bye week for additional review and planning.
As a cat fan you should be very concerned about this game. If you think it's going to be a blowout then you are living a pipe dream. The cats should be favored without a doubt, but this is a very winnable game for the griz.
Here's to a great game with the good guys (griz) coming out on top. I won't at all be surprised by a home field victory and it would be the perfect ending to a bitter season!

lots of homerism in that analysis, but that will make it that much better when you lose in WG again
I agree with everything you said except the "appear to be a draw at least at RB", especially if Moore is back.go96griz said:Cats2506 said:go96griz said:Central MT Cat Fan said:You must have missed the UND game.

Okay, I'll bite and respond with facts:
Defense:
The griz lead the nation in number of sacks and the cats are slightly worse in this category. The griz are 16th in tackles for loss with the cats again slightly trailing. The cats are third in the country in rushing D and the griz are 5th. Lastly, the griz are 119 out of 122 on passing d and the cats are 74th. All of this supports my statement that both teams have a strong front 7 and that the griz passing d is worse than the cats, albeit not by a ton. Not sure where the homerism is here?
Offense:
The griz have the 10th best rushing offense in the country with the cats at 33. The huge difference is passing where the cats are 23 and the griz are 54th. Total offense griz at 11 and msu at 18. Griz rank 37 in sacks allowed and cats sit at 87. All of this supports my statements that the griz have a strong o-line and appear to be a draw at least at RB and that the cats are much better at QB. With the exception of Bleskin as a possession WR, I don't think there is a cat fan around that thinks they have a true weapon at this position. Again, not sure where the homerism is here?
Maybe you can respond with some facts rather than just being a douche??
