How about the 'good 'ol days, when you had the added effect of an inversion with the buildup of smog from the Teepee Burners, Hoerner-Waldorf, and all the wood stoves in the Hub of the Five Valleys, lasting for a week or two. Standing at the west end of the Oval and not being able to see the hands of the clock on Main Hall. Ah, those were the days!
And you just prayed the wind was coming from the east so as not to make the entire valley smell like the pulp mill!
