Cats Got Screwed

I'm not disagreeing.

Only reason I see they did this is so that it would be harder for 2 Big Sky teams, or 2 MVCF teams to be in the national championship. I'm not saying it's right, I agree it should be seeded from 1-24, regardless of where any team is located. Higher seed hosts, and let the chips fall. That's not the NCAA, it's all about $$$$

Once SDSU got the top seed and Sac the second you knew Bison would be 3 and Cats 4. No way were they going to match BSC vs BSC and MVC vs MVC in the Semi’s. If Sac would have been 1 then Cats would have been 3.

I would guess you are right on!

Well… I know we aren’t going to sac, it’s impossible. The narrative I was talking about is that we were excited for a chance to play them in the semis. We won’t get that, because the committee for whatever reason chose the Bison over MSU. Which based of resumes is crap. However, I admitted (even though they’re not supposed to) if you went off history they’d be ahead of us and probably the #1. That would also mean Sac historically should be the 8 or even playing week 1 based on their playoff results.
Never mind, I’m dumb I had the seeds messed up in my head.

No worries at all! Welcome to the second season. Good luck against SEMO.

Spot the lie.

Saying the Bobcats didn’t deserve a seed. You’re a one trick pony who makes weird comments some people find funny from time to time. This is just a bad take after yesterday.

The Bobcats did get “screwed” but it is what it is. Gotta beat the best to be the best. Was hoping for the narrative of going to Sac to determine the real BSC champion. That’s something I believe everyone wanted to see. But at least we get a re-do with Weber to shut up all the Nay-sayers. I was thinking we’d get the winner of UND and UI. Weber is closer to sac than we are, and Idaho is closer to BZN.

NDSU historically is a no brained ahead of us, but then should also be the #1. Based off body of work, MSU got screwed 100%. I do wish I could hear the rational.
Big time whining from the guy who has continuously pointed out Griz fan whining.

Where was the whining? Do you even read before you comment?

I hate the cats. I hate their fans. I hate their program. And I hate bozangeles. But I can even admit the cats got screwed by the committee when they gave the bison the 3 seed. The committee is supposed to base their decisions completely and solely on the body of work this year, and instead they reverted back to the past history of the bison. There is no way the bison should’ve been seeded in front of the cats. The resume, SOS, SRS, and literally everything you could look at would favor the cats. They actually lessened the value/strength of the Big Sky Conference as a whole because sac state has a very legit argument that they deserve the one seed with a better résumé over South Dakota State. And then Weber not getting seeded at all is kind of a slap in the face, too.

You have to beat the best to be the best at the end of the day, so it is what it is. And they will still get to host playoffs all the way through quarters (and even semis if the teams in front of them get upset). But what it did probably more than anything is it aligned them to the same side as South Dakota state. Normally you want to be on the opposite side of the bison, which they are, but this is probably the year that they could take on the bison maybe more so than the jack rabbits.

So the opposite of last year? Where they got to cruise to the NC game without breaking a sweat?

If anyone got screwed it was Weber. It certainly appear Haslam traded their seed for the Griz to get into the playoffs.

Yes you are spot on. Their bracket this year is set up more like the gauntlet the Griz had last year….having to play a good Big Sky team (for a second time) and then go on the road eventually to a JMU type team.

Congratulations on making the field. I admire Wahlberg's unwavering belief that you would make it in. Then it happened.

Next point. The version of the Cats that includes Tommy starting at QB is very, very good. It was last year too, and I'm not so sure about the narrative regarding our path through the playoffs. Nearly everyone over here predicted the Cats were going to get boat-raced at SHSU, and literally everyone over here predicted we would get beat badly by a red-hot SDSU team. Both of those were quality wins.

About this year, we got a absolutely butt fucked. Depending on the poll, we get to play the #1 team, the #5 team, and the #6 team. I appreciate and agree with this thread.

Anyway, it's possible to meet in the chipper you know. NDSU looks like they may have some problems going on. Let's each do our part. Good luck.

Last year we played the #1 who beat NDSU in the spring, and SDSU who was this years weber. They also beat NDSU but in the fall. UTM beat a solid Missouri state who’s wheels fell off the wagon this year. This year we will handle business and it’ll once again be the same narrative.

Haslem sold out to get Montana in, he let them rape the rest of the Big Sky if they would put you in, if um doesn't get in he has to fire Bobby

Oh, well, I feel good about the path, Going to Brookings will show them that we are the better team.

Haslam is one person on the committee and is probably not involved in any thing involving UM.

If the Griz or Cats had won all the championships NDSU had you would want them seeded 1 every year.

If any team is going to win the championship they have a tough road.

Based on last Saturday it seems like the Cats can play with anyone

Seeds are determined first and before at-large selection. Every knowledgeable person I know had the Griz getting in.

So, UM controls the playoff seeding. Incredible how we basically run the FCS, even in a meh year. Go Griz!

Time to ban this lying piece of shit. He’s only here to be a troll. Go back to catnation dipshit.

Bottom line is, no matter what the path, you have to show-up and win. There are no easy games in the playoffs. Yes, I think the Cats should have got the #3 seed but so be it. They just need to go out and take care of business. Same for the Griz. They got a second life and a lot to prove. Great opportunity.
Best of luck to both the Cats and the Griz. :thumb:
