Cats Got Screwed

Bottom line is, no matter what the path, you have to show-up and win. There are no easy games in the playoffs. Yes, I think the Cats should have got the #3 seed but so be it. They just need to go out and take care of business. Same for the Griz. They got a second life and a lot to prove. Great opportunity.
Best of luck to both the Cats and the Griz. :thumb:

I agree with your post. Including the Cats’ seed. Later in the season, I realized the Cats were better than I had thought, and they certainly proved that on Saturday. I thought the Griz D and coaches would be able to slow the run some. Not stop it. Mellott is a very good runner, and handoff faker. You are better with both qb’s Unless Cats have a bad game, Cats should make some noise. Good luck.

I'm probably one of the few that didn't have an issue with our draw. Aside from the blatant disrespect of giving NDSU the #3 and us the #4 when we've been the #3 team in the country for months, I don't have any issues. And I understand why they did it knowing there would be two BSC teams and two MVC teams that would be seeded 1-4.

We knew we'd have to go through SDSU or NDSU to get to Frisco. And we knew there would be a pretty good chance we'd meet the other of those two teams if we got to Frisco. That's a given. So now we'll get UND or a rematch with Weber. I don't have a problem with either. Win that and maybe a matchup with William/Mary who I know nothing about. I like that. Take care of business at home like we've done all year and get an opportunity to play a very good team in SDSU in a rematch of last years semi's.

I like everything about it. Now just gotta win! :thumb:

If you look at the brackets, had MSU been ranked third, they likely would’ve had a rematch with the grizzlies. Same for North Dakota State, they would have had a rematch with North Dakota. NDSU had a down year for them, and their résumé isn’t nearly as strong as the bobcats. Regardless, I have no problem with the seedlings. I know a lot of posters here complained about the GRiZ draw last year compared to the bobcats, but the most important thing is to get into the playoffs. You have to beat the best to be the best. Go Cats!

My guess is even if they swapped MSU/NDSU, the Griz/SEMO winner would still go to NDSU and the Weber/UND winner to Bozeman.

Third and fourth seed go to first and second seed for the semis provided they all win. It really doesn't matter which side of the bracket you're on. Last year the Cats had to go on the road to beat the defending champion SHSU and got the runner up at MSU. Do I think either top seeds will make it to the semis? Both?

Actually, I think there's too damn many teams in the tournament, but what do I know? I mean, come on, five from one conference? It's as bad as the NCAA bouncy ball tournament that the committee puts damn near the entire ACC conference in the tournament. The only exciting thing about that is the betting.
