200 posts. and Big sky or cats fans, the reason it's 200 posts is because of BisoNation , we are a passionate fanbase, WE are Men, and WE honor contracts. If this was the wild west of the 1800's out in eastern montana, how'd you think this would play out?
Grizz fans lost to NDSU back in 2002, and there's been a little animosity here and there between the Grizz and Bison. But since NDSU has won 2 straight titles, we've earned respect between the 2 fanbases. However, the Cats have brought all this heat onto themselves and they will never be able to live this down.
NDSU already has an AD for their replacement game:

Timing is really crappy. Could have happened earlier. In fact, at this late date, they should probably honor their contract. However...I think this shows the hypocrisy of fanbases. Griz fans were defending our buyouts in the past and cat fans were criticizing us. Now it is the other way around. Pretty silly if you ask me.

1. Just a point of clarification...we've had back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back winning seasons. During our entire period of reduced scholarships and limited practice time we still managed a winning season in every year.becker2117 said:

Actually, I think this thread falls squarely into the realm of FCS FOOTBALL and last I checked this forum was titled: Montana Grizzlies Football and THE FCS! In my opinion, this is an important piece of FCS NEWS!!! And while I'm sure this move will benefit the Bobcats in several ways, it's a BAD MOVE FOR THE FCS, which already doesn't have nearly enough marquee games. And in my humble opinion, MSU/NDSU, along with Eastern going to Sammy, were the TWO PREMIER FCS games next season, even ahead of Appy's visit to Missoula. Really disappointed this game isn't going to happen.
IMO I think this is a pure dodge with the available excuse of money. What would set the tone for the season better, beating the defending champions who return 20 starters or getting a payday with an off chance of also getting a win? Beating a team that will be in the top 3 IMO, would set the stage for a good season. Georgia Southern lost by 3 last year, makes you wonder what they would have done had they not bought out earlier and that team was able to play in the atmosphere before it really counted in the playoffs. Teams that talk about going to the playoffs and playing in championships should welcome the opportunity for a tough FCS team game where they could see how they measure up the competition.

Look, it's a business decision. If MSUcks buys out to play a team in the middle of their recruiting area(s) and to get "their" guys "home", why not? It's, unfortunately, all about the all-mighty $$$$$$$$$$.

I wonder who initiated the contact regarding a game, SMU or MSEuliss? If it was MSEuliss than it looks pretty chicken s**t. Has MSEuliss approached NDSU about scheduling a replacement game in the near future? They honestly should do so as a matter of the high integrity Ash keeps preaching.
This matter carries a bad stench from the MSEuliss crew as far as I can tell.
It could be a good time for Montanan's to request the cats remove the M from their helmets and put cats back on. A Montana team should man up and honor their contract with the Bison.
