Byron Hout becomes the program's defensive line coach under new Bobcat mentor Jeff Choate.

Famous for getting knocked the fuck out on national television, Hout played on Boise State teams that compiled a cumulative records of 50-3 during his career,this is largely creditted for his overly confident mentality, which fits perfectly into the mentality found on the 5x Preseason National Champions, MSU Bobcats. He earned 2nd Team All-Mountain West honors in 2010 and was an All-American in talking shit and getting hit the next season, he comes to MSU still in a daze from the shot he took in 2010, which makes him a perfect fit as defensive line coach. He played Legarette Blunt's punching bag on two WAC and two Mountain West title teams for the Broncos. He worked as a defensive graduate assistant at Washington State in 2012 before returning to his alma mater in a similar role in 2013.

Sorry for my delay getting back. The basics of it are that he was let go because he was being approached with football related questions and not Choate. Feeling his authority was in question, Choate let him go. He did ask if it had anything to do with the incident downtown and was told no. (Yes, there was an incident) I understand i am new to the message board and therfore i understand if my views are questioned. To be honest, i would be the same. This information was from someone inside the athletics offense. When you look at it, it becomes very believable considering he was such a decorated assistant. You dont just randomly drop your top assistant for no reason. That goes for any job or industry, not just athletics.
