I was surprised too. But I guess the logic is if you don't get 1st down, you give up a field goal at the least so you have to score a TD. And the Cats offense is going to run 3 times and burn more clock slow playing it all the while.

It would be interesting to hear what a reasonable EWU fan, like Marc, has to say. No doubt the cats and Weber have solid defenses but I can’t help but wonder what is going on with Eastern.
