cats at eags

What did the bye week team do for each team? Did it cool the cats off? Did it allow EB and team to refocus and continue their amazing passing game?
Bye weeks are weird, Some teams struggle after a bye week to get rolling.
Any Players that have been dinged up for either team that the week off will help?
I have been big on the cats all year but I'll take EWU in a close 34-31 win in OT

What makes you think EWU’s offense is legit? Central Washington. Western Illinois. Southern Utah. NCU. Idaho. Are any of those defenses in the top 75 in FCS? I really don’t know.

Just seems if we’re going to play that card for one unit we should do the same with the other unit.

Lovethecats, now that is wishful thinking. We have eyes. We've seen what the evil Eagles can do on offense. They are a machine.

I've also watched the bobcats defense. I believe it is pretty darn good, but it was WAY BETTER versus the San Diego & Drakes of the world rather than during conference play. The stellar "stats" are a function of the cupcake schedule. Note I'm not dissing the cat's defense. Just pointing out the schedule has skewed the numbers.

I am pulling for the cats (not death to all life on our planet), also expecting a very entertaining game with the home team prevailing about 35 to 28. Now tell your kids to go prove me wrong!

No I understand. Playing devils advocate more than anything. Just seems like some are really harping on the fact that the cats haven’t played anyone, while completely ignoring that the Eagles haven’t either.

If our D only looks good because of the offenses we’ve played, why can’t the same be said for the Eagles and the defenses they’ve gotten to play?

I think both units are very good for what it’s worth.

Add Weber, Montana and UNLV. Good place to start might be a scoring average of 51.5/game. Pretty much doesn't matter who you've played; that's pretty damn impressive. The 34 they put on Montana and Weber are the least they have scored.

Again, I said I agreed.

But so I’m clear, it doesn’t matter who EWU have played, their offense is damn impressive.

As for the cats, there’s no way their defense can be that good….just look who they’ve played!

We found they can be held down for 3 quarters, the fourth can really be the sh!ts.

WSU was also up 2 scores with 6 minutes left. IMO, prevent defenses are dumb. “Hey let’s change out of what has been working, and go into something that should work…”

JFC. Only on damn eGriz can there be a perfectly good astrological disaster thread that denigrates into football talk.

No doubt. You set everyone up to have a great debate about classic late 90s movies Armageddon vs Deep Impact. Missed opportunity for sure.

Your post would be funny, if it were not true. And you are one of the chief denigraters, and you obviously wear that badge with pride.....

We know who your "guys" are. All posters who ruin this board on a daily basis, attack ever new screen name, try to intimidate and whine to ban (cancel) posters who expose you for who and your minions are.

Going to be a close game, regardless of winner. I will predict EWU wins it at home by 3-7 points.

They average 50 points per game, but the cats defense is legit and will drop that down to the low-mid 30s. The cats pass defense is very suspect from watching the Weber game. If the weather holds, barriere will exploit the living shit out of it (rain and wind could help cats).

However, the cats will also have good success running the ball and controlling some clock, thus limiting possessions. The cats offense won’t have enough firepower to overcome the 30+ points ewu will score in the end.
If the turf is slick the eags will win big. If the rain holds out and the turf is dry the cats stand a chance controlling the ball with their strong running game.
If the turf is slick then Eric Barriere will be slipping a lot. This will result in the kittens defense getting 3+ sacks.

That’s cuz you sent the kitchen sink, we don’t need to send 7 to sack him.
