I would suggest that our offense will be able to move the ball against both EWU and the Cat defenses. After watching the NAU QB and receivers shred the Cats yesterday, I’m convinced our offense will put up 35+ the next two weeks.
Go Griz!

If the Griz don't put up 35 on ewu...well, let's just say they will.

Ewu ranks dead LAST in the FCS for total defense.

For context: cats are 40/123 and Griz are 11/123.

Just checked, after yesterday CP is 123/123 and EWU is 122/123 in total defense.

I wasn't sure when those are updated...Griz might flip them back after next weekend.

We beat up on one of the cellar dwellers of the Big Sky, glad we got a win and the offense was flowing. Was quite happy they put Britt in (HE should have played vs Weber IMO).

However I still have Very little confidence in this offense especially when we play good teams. I hope the lack of coaching/play calling and adjustment vs Weber was a wakeup call and will be glad to be proven wrong, but have to see it to believe it when we play more stout defenses.
Ya we beat up a cellar dweller and the Bobcats had a thriller with a cellar dweller. Nau barely beat cal Poly themselves...MSU defense is the 2nd worst defense in the conference next to Ewoo. Cmon now. Had Weber st not been throwing balls into space they beat the Cats and all they would have for wins is against cupcakes. 1 good team(not even that good if Brown can hang with em) gifted the cats a win... the rest of their games have been against pathetic teams. When your defense gives up 38 to NAU you're doing something horribly wrong.

I’m confident we put up 35+ against EWU And the Cats. Probably 42+ against EWU.
So the question is can the Griz D prevent either team from outscoring us?
When our offense has been able to stay on the field, our D is even more stingy.
One game at a time!
Go Griz!

I like the optimism, but we haven’t clobbered anyone with a winning record in quite some time, so I’m tempering my expectations. While we should be able to get quite a bit of offensive momentum going into the brawl, we have yet to perform well on offense against any team with an average to above average defense. I do like our chances against the cats as long as LJ is healthy, but I think the game will be close.

We haven't played anyone with a winning record with a healthy first team qb.

You have little confidence in the Griz. You don't understand the game, in my view. Statements like you just made are stupid.

Serious question Player. Do you have Asberger Syndrome or any other conditions on the autism spectrum? Have you ever been checked for it?

...and climbing!! Yeah baby!

11th, according to the ncaa stat keepers

I've been using this one, so don't know. Either way - Griz pretty high and CP / ewu very low...

Yes, that's what I originally said. Someone else said they were up to 6, but I don't know their source.

The Griz did exactly what they should have done against a crappy team and demolished them by improving their execution on offense. Now can we do that against a better team? We will find out in a couple of weeks… By the way, why did it come down to a last second field goal for the cats against NAU? That should have been a lopsided win as well

The cats defense has been bad all year. They are extremely susceptible to the passing game and they give up a lot of big plays. They seem wildly out of position a lot. They rank statistically poor in several defensive categories. The Griz with a healthy LJ will put up points.

On the flip side, the Cats O and specifically their run game is strong. Teams have had a hard time stopping the run even though they know it’s coming. They will also put up points.

Should be a good battle. They definitely have some weaknesses and flaws.

The Merlot was bottled last year and their pass D is a sieve. It's a bad matchup for them. Our corners will get a couple picks. Injury has derailed the train but it's back on the track. A lot of football left to be played.

The cats got outplayed by nau. Nau!! They absolutely had the Weber game handed to them. Their defense is like cheesecloth.

The only thing I’m worried about in two weeks is that it’s too long to wait for the beat down the GRIZ are going to administer.

I can't wait for the griz to shut these cat fans the fuck up.. I also thought that last year though and somehow they still managed to talk shit after getting blown out

This is not the EWU Offense of the past...
