Could someone explain why it’s offensive to say, essentially, “PSU is getting away with stuff-infractions like Antifa did during the time of the protests-riots”? He didn’t call PSU or the players Antifa. And I assume almost no one from Portland or PSU was listening to Cat radio, or what was it on?

I'll say this again, he was dismissed because of his choice to politicize part of a game that didn't need to be. Again, this wasn't likely his first warning in regards to this. Listening to the game feed, before it was scrubbed, it felt entirely intentional. The tone was as much the issue as the content of his statement. Learfield is a public relations and communications firm. My hunch is they have some rather hefty personal conduct clauses that put a premium on representing the company and the Universities they work for in a way that doesn't tarnish the brand. He made a choice, and it was a terrible one because he really didn't need to levy that accusation to get his point across about the one-sided officiating.
You can make this about the factual nature of his statement or not, but for all that whine about Wokecenter and keeping politics out of sports, it wasn't an essential part of the broadcast. Cheap and lazy. Should he be terminated for that comment alone? No probably not and that is why I think there were some underlying issues about how he handled this and other issues in past.

My dad would always tell me that there is a time and a place for things. His comments hit on neither of these. It amazes me how many people fail to realize this.
