If he were to be a coach for say Michigan or Ohio State and had that record against his most storied opponent he would be fired.

At Wa/Griz this year he will end the year 1-5 against the Griz. Your envy and continued posting will then probably increase on eGriz.

We don't base our season on beating the Griz.

And yours don't? I think I remember when the Cats beat the Griz in hoops in Calimissoula 3 years ago where your students were chanting (Play us in Football - really classy to the Griz bball team). That didn't work out well for the Griz football team that next year

It's a rivalry. If its too intense for you ... switch sports and follow figure skating

No ours don't. The day our students start chanting FTC against EWU talk to me. And your example is more a testament to how our students don't care about basketball, not that they only care about winning cat-Griz.

I used to root for the Bobcats when they were playing other teams till I started reading egriz. Now that I see how pathetic their fans are I wish they would just go away, maybe division II where their domination prophecies may come to fruition.

I was definitely being dramatic. I was exaggerating. Even the subject line was meant to attract the trolls. In truth, I think Ash is fine coach. I think there are genuine cat fans that contribute to this board. Although Cooper did get fired in relation to his performance against Michigan and there is a similarity percentage-wise with Cat/Griz under Ash. But in reality I was trying to provoke the cat trolls not every cat fan, with the same inaccurate vitriol that they use. Ash is not a saint. His program has not been squeaky clean. Some of the investigations going on in Missoula are farcical and some are warranted, but not all of them are actually investigations of the football team itself. It is yet to be determined the guilt and/or scope of much of anything, but we are tainted by association and a media circus. 2506 and others are relishing beating on the griz when we appear to be down.

My point was what motivates someone like 2506 to spend an inordinate amount of time on eGriz trash talking when he is a fan of the cats?

Ok, the griz board has more traffic and more people to converse with, but it is still about the griz. I have been to the cat board once to check out information on a recruit both the Cats and Griz were courting. I wouldn't go on their board and trash the cats even with our dominance. I only did it here tongue in cheek because I was tired of the cat trolls. If the roles and records of the two programs were reversed I definitely wouldn't go on the cat board and talk smack. It is about the cats.

Why do you act so shocked when Cat fans view the board? Every Cat viewer is a sign of respect for what you have going on here. Shouldn't a master be proud when his apprentice admires his work?
We can learn a lot from this site.
Specifically, how to alienate others. The way you are treating Cat fans is exactly how one would behave if he desired to be hated. I will strive never to do that on the Nation. Thank you for the lesson.
Finally, I think all people are drawn to the spectacle of rash acts and destruction. When driving on the highway and one sees a myriad of flashing lights beside the road, he is inclined to slow down and "rubberneck." What is the driver looking for? Certainly not a severed hand or other such gruesomeness. To see such a thing is frightening. However, all driver's still look, anticipating that moment when they see the blood on the highway. It's instinct, the spectacle of destruction. On this site, Cat fans are never disappointed. We lie in wait, anticipating the next insult and wondering just how far you will go in brandishing your greatness and exposing our lack thereof. We are never let down. I chuckle as I type. "Beat them with words." Clever....perfect.

People are consumed by it here, and having to deal with that ALL the time has started turning me into a Cat-hating dick in return. I always considered Idaho as the "big rival" and MSU as just another tradition filled game. Maybe, it just depends upon the record historically. Idaho dominated Montana, and UM has most certainly dominated MSU...it is like the Oklahoma-OK State "rivalry"..OkState sees OU as the greatest rival ever, while OU looks to Texas....the losing side is the one that has the most intensity and MSU is certainly that.

The saddest thing is that he was preseason all-conference. I can only take this to mean that every other safety in the Big Sky must be absolutely terrible.

Our entire team took turns making Fuller their collective bitch last year. Give me a break. :roll:
