Cat running backs so far this season

The Cat backs are now 10th and 11th in the conference, with 59 and 56 yard per game. Jones ahead of Davis. Jones is averaging 5.5 per carry. Davis 6.5.

Gillman is first in the conference with 120, 6.8 and 11 TD's. Jones has 6 and Davis 3. 2d in conference in TD's is 7.

None of those 3 backs is in the top 50 in conference receiving. Wortham is 6th in receiving yardage per game, and tied for first in receptions per game with 5.8.

The Cats must be playing fairly well now. I haven't watched or followed them, other than to look at the scores.

If you take the Oregon game out of the equation, Adam Jones is at 6.1 ypc and Julius Davis is at 7.0 ypc.

At Big Sky High i had a Montana history teacher, Mr Womack, that was a big scat fan and normally a super big jokester. One day a student said in class that his family drove through Bozrman over the weekend. Teacher asked him if he said hi to any body there. He said he waved with his middle finger as they passed. Teacher sent him to the principals office😂.
Mr Womack was one of my favorites. What year did you graduate bama?

The Cat's running game is getting better due to having back a couple of OL a couple of weeks ago and now becoming more consistent. I think we will continue to see improvement each week.

Different discussion....but let's take out non-FCS games for both schools.

Davis: 7.0 ypc
Jones: 6.1 ypc
Gillman: 5.99 ypc
Let's not. That's not how stats are kept. Central WA is better than some teams the Cat played. Cats got stomped by Oregon. The Griz wouldn't have gotten stomped like that, and Gillman would have gotten more yards.

Your running backs and OL sucked at the beginning of the season. This is from observation, talking to some friends/family in Bozeman, and from talking to a former Cat OL who goes to all the home games.

Picking Jones are the pre-seasons O MVP of the conference looked like a joke when it occurred, and now it's clearly a joke.

Gillman is having a great season. He is way better than your backs. In fact, he's 3 times better than both of them put together. Gillman is getting some very tough yards. It's the way the Griz play. To some extent, they pound into the D's packing the box, to start to wear them down. Then, as the game goes on, the holes open up. It's worked in various games.

You're still missing the mark with this. You have to take out runs for fewer than 6 yards for Davis and Jones and take out runs for more than 6 yards for Gillman. Then, run the analysis. Historically, this is the kind of methodology BSC voters use when deciding POYs.

Lol, what? So, we remove the worst game for your RBs and the best game for ours? Quite the statistics there. This seems like a fun game, I'd love to play.

Lets take the San Diego game away from the cats, since they are worse than CWU. Of course, we are putting CWU back into Eli's stats, because statistics are more fun when you openly slant them to make your case.

Davis - 6.05
Gillman - 6.8
