I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the final score was 10-7. The cats will try to run the ball with Ifanse despite how good our run D is. However, I have no idea what we're gonna try and do offensively. I feel like we're gonna have to take some shots, but Cam doesn't have the best accuracy at times. I said in the preseason that I would not predict this game, and I still stand by that decision.

Hope I/m wrong but they have our number and we know that our special teams will give points away again, they have in almost every game this year. Our special teams is abhorrent and hasn't improved all season. Football is a QB centric game and the better QB is on the Cats side.

Dill Pickle

Kinda scared about this one. But I’ve liked what I’ve seen from our offense the last 2 weeks. I say this is gonna come down to the wire
Montana 24
Montana State 21

GRIZ 31
cats 13

All depends on how hurt their big running back is, but I think even he will have a hard time running on the Griz.
Every time I have picked this score we have won so I am sticking with it.

hunt-ducks? lol.

No way. Not even Growler — and I could never have even imagined typing this sentence prior to this “special” post — is as fucking stupid as this asshat.

Griz: Loaded to stop the run, and have been ball Hawks in the DB area...BUT the defense is designed to filter runs to the 2nd level and that is where Ifanse is a BEAST... For griz to stop Cats, they will have to have front 4 at least getting a piece of the RBs at or before the line...

Two minor issues here. The Griz play a 3-3-5, so there isn't a 'front 4' The Griz are a 60% blitzing team, they stop the run on the way to the quarterback. Thus the 'filtering' to the second level happens in the back field. :thumb:

19-17 Griz in a game where the griz defense and special teams out scores both offenses.

Massey predicts a 21-17 Griz Win. I'm not even sure we see that much scoring!

17-16 Griz. The difference is a blocked PAT by the Griz sometime in the second quarter.

Now if Haley just picks um I know the Cats will win :thumb:

Yeah, that'll be the kiss of death.

I'd love to see you elaborate on this post.....describe in detail the points our special teams have "given away"....

Have you really not watched our games this year? Blocked punts, missed FGs fumbles on punt returns, this year has had some of the worst special teams I have seen in years. Turn overs and special teams win this game and something big has to change for us to win both when we haven't done it all year.

So, you're just going to zero in on their mistakes, and ignore their stellar play the other 95% of the time? Special teams is the reason we didn't have a humiliating loss against SUU.

Griz have two kickoff returns for TD's and a blocked punt for a TD. Probably one of best punters in the nation. Losing Sulser hurt a bunch in punt returns. Freshman Fontes will be good but having issues holding onto the ball. My guess is Robby Hauck will be returning punts rest of season.
Here are season stats for reference.

Hey Preparation H, the over under on punts that have been blocked against the Griz. I'll put it at 1 and take the under. Trolling is tough. Buschini hasn't had a single one blocked. Take your "alternative facts" and go pedal your papers somewhere else. You are dismissed, bye bye.

If both defenses show up in a big way, this could come down to who’s kicker is connecting best on Saturday. If Griz defense can stop Cats run game, I think Griz win. If Cats show up and play like they did against Idaho last week, I believe Griz win. My best guess:

Griz 17
Cats 10

Griz have struggled against teams with solid O-Lines. You can only blitz so much before you open yourself up and get tired. Our offense needs to step it up or Cats win by double digits.

Griz - 13
Cats - 9

Sounds like coach sixx needs to fire his ST Coordinator.
