Cat Fans, what are MSU chances

The 'cats are without a doubt the hottest and most clutch team in the big sky right now. They have been burying all the big shots.

Do they have a realistic shot to take down the big sky and win the tourney??

NO

"That cat team can shoot you right out of a game and then shoot you right back in a game." Wait till the shots stop falling.

:o :o Cats have one easy win at Weber. At Idaho State it was overtime. At Montana it was a last second shot. At home against SAC it was trail all the way and then a last second shot. They could not be in a better position but all of the conference games were decided by 4 or less thursday. Maybe we should see where they are at 9:00 PM tonite before we answer the question. :o :o
Cats 4-0 Three road wins
PSU 3-1 Lost at Weber
EW 3-1 Lost at home to portland state
UM 2-2 Lost at home to MSU and at weber
SAC 2-3 Lost to MSU 67-64
NAU 2-3 At MSU today
Weber 2-4 Won at home 70-66 over PSU
ISU 0-5 Lost to MSU in overtime.

New and wonderful bunch of cats but the last five years it has been cats on top early in the year and cats fade in last seven conference games.
One can hope that that is all in the past. NAU is young but good.

:o :o Montana State 5-0
Portland State 4-2
Eastern Wash. 3-2
Montana 3-2
Weber 2-4
N. Arizona 2-4
Sacremento State 2-4
Idaho State 1-5
If either Portland State or Eastern Washington win two at home this weekend they are back in the race. If Montana wins two on the road they have a shot. If Montana State wins 1 game this week they will have proven that they should be able to win it all. If they lose 2 it will keep it interesting and if they win 2 it will take a lot of the fun out of it. Weber and NAU are not done yet and SAC can beat anybody. The Fat Lady will not appear until this time next week or not.

You haven't been watching THE CATS the last few weeks, they play inside/outside very well now. Its not solely a 3 point shooting team now (although they look like it because they usually make most of the 3's they take :) ). Moss/Dissly/Beye have really started contributing to this team. They will only start getting better as the season goes on. Like any team in the Big Sky though, if you don't shoot well/rebound/turn the ball over you can be beaten on any given night. I don't think any team in the Big SKy is a lock to take the title yet (regardless of record). Cats just need to worry about winning one game at a time and everything should be put in place. I honestly think if we play our game this weekend though we can 2 games again if we play well. They will have to rebound better on the road though to have a shot. If they can host the tourney, they should have a pretty good shot of winning it all in my opinion (Win 2 and your in).

I agree. This weekend will be big. UM, with Kamarr Davis back, could be the best team in the league. I liked that Krysko just worked him in slowly so he can get back in the groove. I'm sure it won't take long. They will need him, esp. vs. PSU. I think UM and MSU will win the first night, but the second game is always tough. One win by MSU will be huge for them since they will have 5 of 7 at home the rest of the way. Two wins by UM will start bringing fans back. Should see 5,000 per game @ home for both UM and MSU if they stay hot this week. Could turn into a great season after such a sorry start. Be nice to have either UM or MSu host the tourney and then face-off in title game. But even in semis would be cool like a few years ago when UM made the big comeback and Trammell finished it off with that huge slam-dunk off the missed shot. That might've been the greatest play in Big Sky history.

iaanfan :o :o I do like your enthusiasm. As to your choice of greatest plays ?? You might want to start another thread if you want to talk about that one. :o :o
